Been a few weeks since this was said and it hasn't been changed.

I tried Spirit Stone (ended up with both Wriggle and Spirit, due to lifesteal and armor it grants) and I have to agree that Spirit Stone might actually help Trundle more. As it's fairly safe to say that Trundle is my main in jungle right now, I feel he suffers from slight mana problems without blue buff. Madreds does indeed raise your clear speed, but Trundle IMO, gets most of his money from ganks, which he can't execute properly without mana. The lifesteal is somewhat well replaced by the extra health regen.

I agree, I clearly noticed the early clear speed difference between Hecarim and Trundle - the troll is very fast. Thanks to this, you're usually able to get a few nice extra kills and assists.

What item would you recommend if you find yourself needing early extra armor?

Locket or Aegis.

Madred's isn't a bad choice, but Trundle already clears extremely fast. Wriggle's generally isn't worth it ever due to its terrible cost efficiency, but you can take Razors if you feel like you really need it. I prefer AS reds just because at early levels you'll be getting in 2 or 3 attacks in between Q's. AD reds are certainly an option though, and that all comes down to opinion. Trundle benefits greatly from both.

I've been having success with Trundle using Wriggles, but I'm looking forward to trying the Spirit Stone route and feel it's likely a better option so thank you for your guide.

Regarding the skill queue. You max Pillar first, I understand that the slow significantly increases but is the advantage greater than that of the buff from leveling his Frozen Kingdom first?
I naturally found myself leveling Frozen Kingdom first (especially in top lane). So I look forward to playing around with your skill queue, I assume it'll help ganking a lot.

You don't have any routes in your guide [yet]. I like starting at Wolves into Blue -> Wraiths -> Red -> Golems -> Wraiths (repops) a few seconds after you reach the camp from Golems. This is just enough to level you up and grab your 3rd skill if you haven't already. Currently I get Q > W > W > E - because I don't gank until 4. What other options do I have for routes and times to gank? In some games where I need to babysit top, I find myself too far away to help.

Thanks for your guide. I'll be playing with some of these ideas tonight.

I'm kinda torn between Spirit Stone and Madreds. On the other hand it feels Wriggle's give you better jungling and a free ward, on the other Golem gives you tenacity and health + extra tankiness. I guess it's all in the team's needs.

Anyways, IMHO, AD marks are better than AS marks, because Trundle already has a nigh spammable AA-reset that deals extra damage based on your full AD. Agreed on the MS Quints tho, they're simple the best on almost any jungler. Especially Hecarim, lol.
