I mean, whut? I really have a hard time thinking how can Trundle be beaten in toplane.
I'm not sure, for example, that is is easy to deny him to be outside his Frozen Domain and my friends are rather clueless about this, as am I.
I was wondering If something like Urgot (perma Exhaust and range) or Kayle (range and resistance shred) with an ability to kite him (if that is actually that easy).
Any player with Trundle experience would like to provide some input? Do any of you think he is currenty op?

As requested to GMD himself.

Not OP, very viable and tought to beat.

Kayle can have fun with him.
Singed is another that can provide some resistance.
Renekton is just better and should beat him.
Shen can stalemate the lane.

Off the top of my head that's what I remember.

You can outharass his sustain with Pantheon but he scales a lot better as the game progresses and even with the slightest mistake you've lost your lane.
Riven could also beat him probably because of her insane early game power.

I'm pretty sure Cho can just ignore him and farm

I had thought about some of the indicated suggestions but they all bothered me slightly since he can easily go Spirit Visage or Blade of the Ruined King and not care if you ignore or even harass him.

Riven is the same thing everytime. get fed early or go home. Don't have her, though.
Pantheon has the same philosophy.

I also fear Shen can be thrown out of lane, outsustained and outdamaged.

riven uses AD, trundle can take her AD away and use it against her

you should try playing ap bruisers top like vlad, rumble, singed because he cant sap your damage away

im pretty sure if you can outharass his sustain youll beat him

Riven will go all in at lvl2 like she usualy does, so trundle won't have that option and he woun't have any items to sustain her damage yet. If she does manage to kill him she instawon the lane.

Trundle's weaknesses = melee kiting.

He has no range and no gapcloser.

Abuse that and you win.

the weird thing is that he wasn't really changed other than visual remakes. the thing that made him weak, as they said, prior to the change was that his ice castle (the rock that comes out of nowhere) was easily dodge since many new champs have dashes and leaps. so that is one way to counter him.

another way to effectively counter him is preventing him to get too close to the minions to prevent his passive. this would be hard inside the frozen domain but remember if you could burst him down low enough it would be hard for him to regenerate for it is risky for him to go in low. keep in my that pushing the lane toward his tower would yield negative effects for he would just heal while tower hugging.

lastly do what they have already said use ap bruisers or champs that has strong burst, poor ad ratio (usually tanky bruisers) or anyone that would out sustain him like garen.

that is all what i can think of though.
+rep if i helped or if you just happen to like repping ^^

Just outscale him with your pick. Trundle is a good brawler in duels and whatnot but you can pick a higher impact teamfighter like Rumble or whatever and win the game post lane.

(Actually don't pick Rumble his winrates are kinda booty right now but you get the picture)
