It actually shuts itself down. As I said I already use a notebook stand, and that helps quite good - it only very occasionally happens my laptop overheats when I'm at home.
Problem is I can't bring it to school, because it's quite heavy and it doesn't fit in my bag, so I need a solution for that.
Tuning down the LoL settings might help, but then I'm afraid I'll be more busy changing stuff back and forth, instead of playing :P
I suppose I could try to use Game Booster, I have it installed anyways but I don't use it.
Thanks so much for the help so far, I will experiment with Game Booster and come back with the results. If anyone has a better suggestion, I'm open to that :)

get a separate fan/cooling pad you can plug into it....they come in varying prices and designs and are usually pretty portable
my mum was having this kinda problem with her laptop and it seemed to really help hers
I'd just leave your lol settings turned down anyways...it'll run better overall...and you're not playing League for the graphics, are you? :P

60C is not overheating. Laptops don't tend to shut down unless they hit 105C. Replace fans, maybe reseat heatsink with superior thermal compound, and buy a cooler.

For the same money you can buy a desktop with about the same stats and a cheap laptop for other non-gaming applications.
