Seriously with in the past like 3 to 4 weeks I have posted several builds and not received a comment a negative or positive rating on any of them. I encourage people to rate more because even if you rate the build negative as long as you leave some constructive criticism in a comment it benefits all who look at it.

Thank you and please start actually looking at peoples builds and not just skimming them.

Well i checked your builds... i dont see any point in even rating not mentioning commenting guides with:

"jhgjfg" as description. or "I will fix this build later" comments.

Your main is ryze (considering your avatar pick) but your main build is hmmm odd anyway. I dont find AS/AD/Crit ryze viable :P

Ppl just watch and rate good builds. If they see no point in it they wont rate or rate it down.

Your Main build has 500 views and 2 scores 1x +1 and 1x -1.
With that amount of views ppl will not even check the 9th in build rating order build for champ as common as Ryze.

I HIGHLY suggest making a 100% great guide even if it takes you 1 month to study 1 champ and THAN posing it here. As you see ppl are not interested in spam builds, and if it is even medicore it could get lost.

I personaly check each and every build on this site daily (exept weekends). If i find myself capabile of saying anything constructive i post it. Most of the builds are not even "finished".

Also beeing an active MOBAFire user can help. Try to get help and tips from others in their builds test em, comment, rate (if you want). Active users are better noticeable and they builds are visited more frequently ofc. Just dont troll since it will make your situation even worse... just like some guy that trolled my Panth build and adverised his builds... well ppl didnt like that XD

Cheers and gluck.

SO pretty much what your saying is looked at two of my builds and gave them a -1 rating without leaving a comment. Sigh you know a web site is going down hill when its mods are the ones breaking their own rules.

Secondly I would love to get rid of the builds that say ill fix this later. Since I just wanted feed back on them and planned to delete them later. What is sad is the fact that I cant find a delete build button. I would gladly get rid of jax attacks and more of a question really along with blahg and such. But what really irritates me is that you did not even take the time to view the builds i put real effort into before disrespecting all of my builds on a forum and calling me a troll. Look at things before dising them.

Lastly create a delete build button.

You cant delete them. You can only Archive them.
MOBAFire has respect in other ppl comments that is why you cant delete a build and delete build button will not be implemented.

2nd of all i am not rating builds anyway, so if you think i left a -1 without a comment you are wrong. I might leave a mean comment but never rate without doing so. I stopped rating builds coz of thing you posted in one of your builds, that ppl do a -1 without sayin why. So i stopped rating and i dont care about rating anyway.

I never called you a troll. I gave you an advice not to do trolling, and in my opinion advice is not an insult.

PS. I am not a mod of any way. I am not connected with MOBAFire staff in any way. I just like the site and it's community (most of it :P) and i like to write and read alot.

dak, anyone that is an admin, mod or editor, will have their name colored differently as well as a title underneath indicating this. Such as mine :)

We have some updates coming out shortly that will help new, complete builds get better visibility. We hope this will help you get more votes and comments.

We are also discussing some modifications to the voting system to encourage more constructive behavior, but it's tricky to find a win-win solution. We will be trying some things out soon so keep an eye out.

As DEWO said, feel free to archive your old builds and post new ones :)

@Matt, It's not like a rank or anything, it just means you have to work on this site ^_^
I would help but I see myself more a customer and I have poor skills when it comes to getting my hands dirty with data, whatever that means.. although I see you have more options than most other people on this site.

Anyway, dak, it's just a matter of trying to make the build popular. It just needs to be a decent looking setup that works for everyone, and something that seems original and interesting. For one you can start with the title, be a little creative and make people wanna click it. When they are in the build you should try to make it look nice, like adding pictures and having everything in order. Then it's all about trying to make them read, now very long seems to be popular. But it's actually better to do short-'n-funny, while still keeping it detailed and adding sections instead of a huge wall of text. That way people (may) actually read the guide, like my Master of Doom, and Frostfire Warlock. Once this is done they are going to test, and/or just question it. You have to add decent responses and not be a complete douchebag. If you can do ALL this then you should have a popular build, and more people will view it which leaves you with a higher +1 ratio. But if you don't answer critques you might get -1'd or if people just hate you because you're a douchebag *cough*DEWO*cough*...

PS: People just "think" you are because of all those responses you leave at other guides, DEWO.

For me it has been the abundance of builds coming in and the amount of time I have had to spend doing other things. I have definitely had less presence on the site recently, but I don't know about other people.

I for one do not believe that "Shaco the Insane" deserves one hundred whatever points it has.. The only reason it has that many is because it was on the top of the list fast and people rated it since it was on the home page. You sorta have to get lucky with the timing of your build post and hope that no one pushes it off of the home page before anyone sees it.

I agree with your statement AnalSamurai that you cant let your build be "pushed down". There are not many ppl that accualy read all the guides. That is why i am sooooo in favor of making restrictions to guides, so ppl will have to make that builds complete before posting it. Ppl tend to do the build with desc like "will add desc later" and ppl -1 coz of this, in meantime the build gets pushed down, ppl no longer visit it coz of -8 status, and person abandons the build iself in spam state, and probably adds the same guide again and again and again spamming the site.

I might be harsh Alahric but i never ever left a comment like "fail" <end of comment>. Even if i write something in my opinion is a fail, i always leave a statement WHY i think this is not suteable for particular champ/build. Ppl tend to be soft-***ed and get annoyed easyly, instead of raping me in the *** with a superior answer to my troll comment, and prove THEY are right. If you cant defend your statement, than what value it has? You dont pick BF sword as a 1st item on Annie for a reason, that reason must be good becouse noone does that right? Than if i write it is a bad choice and leave WTF comment, prove me i am wrong. I love to be wrong, at least i am honest, and try to comment as much as possible on matters i am aware of. I tend to not comment builds/champs that i have no clue about, or played rarely.

With kickin in in right moment is not nessesary true. Eventho we had 1952589523 other panth builds and we had even very similar to mine, i posted mine and it got popular. It is simple and no rocket science, but i spent alot of time testing this and also alot of time on editing the build itself. It works, it is tidy, it works, it is well thought (i think :PP) and ofc it was build with "by DEWO" so ppl might look into it more frequently but if you would see my Veigar build it was not popular eventho it has "by DEWO" as well. I trust that ppl accualy like my builds for it's value not coz of tag.

Also i have to add that constant editing the guide, making it up to date is VERY valuable thing, and i think that eventho i think that Shaco build is good, it got it's rating coz of getting constantly updated, comments get answered quite frequently and so on. Pitty it is a 1 player - 1 build thing, i would like to see others, coz i believe that having 10 builds with rating +30 is more valuable than 1 with +100 :)

Peace!

While we don't want to limit the number of builds people can post, we are implementing measures to reward better builds. Recently we added the "complete builds" feature, that marks a build as complete only when it meets a number of criteria, including a long enough description. For now this just means better highlighting on the browse page.

However we have some new features coming out this week that take further advantage of this "complete build" system. This allows people to post quick builds to share with their friends, but promotes only the complete builds to everyone else. We're also implementing some date ranges here and there that will prevent one old guide from dominating, and give more exposure to new guides.

Sit tight, it should only be a few more days until they're ready, and then let us know what you think of the changes.

Also I didn't mean to imply anything by stating who does/doesn't have mod status - not pulling rank!

I wonder why it was on the top of the list fast... oh right, as you noted, I was lucky.
I wonder why I got lucky with just my 1 guide, compared to your 5 guides, whereas 2 of them were posted before mine.
