Whilst I also don't like the fact that guides are allowed to be released on the same day as champion release, I don't deny that there is a certain logic behind it.

The facts are as remains:

1. You can publish on day of champion release.

2. You are unable to vote until a few days after release.

The reasons for this are twofold.

Whilst it releases a lot of guides on a champion (almost all of which end up being ****), by preventing immediate voting, people can at least try different builds and guide tips to have a sufficient idea of which guides are effective and which guides are not. They can then commit their vote after the few days grace period. This grace period also allows guide authors to take in advice from other players, try different builds in order to improve their guides.

The few days voting grace period allows people to 1) give and 2) get feedback before finalizing builds. Whilst in theory this is how it might work, this is actually rarely the case (or at least, this wasn't the case when Lissandra and Thresh came out).

The few days grace period also prevents immediately published guides from getting a 'head-start' as it were.

This has been asked and answered at least once every time a new champion comes out.

Thank you Miss Maw, CasterMaster and Arcana3 for the sweet sigs. I'd definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a nice sig.

That's cos it started out as a troll build which took 11 Doran's Blades. Then it actually got serious, lol.

Wrong problem you're discussing...

It's still not about "Day One" releases (which aren't a bad idea at all),

it's about why every nitpicker can create a guide.

And while this has been discussed over and over and over and over and over and over again...

It will not change since the guys in charge are simply on the "NO MATTER WHAT everyone is allowed to create a guide" trail.

Which in fact is the most crucial problem this side has, since LoL's community isn't anywhere near beign able to handle such freedom properly.
