Now, I'm not one to rage on forums, but we have a problem. I recently posed a guide for a champion I play. The guide was a revision of an older guide I had on Mobafire which got a ranking of about 82%. I stopped updating it and the guide was downvoted because it no longer made sense with the current patch.

So, I took the old guide, edited it, and posed it. The first two comments were down votes. I don't mind down votes, but only if they make sense and are fair. I got suspicious so I checked into the downvoter's history of comments, and they almost always downvote the same guides together. I'm not sure if this is one guy who has two accounts, or if it's two people who just like trolling around, but it's not cool.

I've decided that I'm going to stop posting guides on Mobafire and stop giving feedback. This has been an ongoing problem that has not been resolved and I'm dissatisfied with how the people at Mobafire have been handling it. If you see two accounts are downvoting the exact same guides over and over and over again with comments such as "-1 because you have xyz item" then you need to address it.

The same thing goes for accounts that go around upvoting! If you see multiple accounts are upvoting guides only by specific authors, or if someone has an account and only uses it to upvote a specific author, then you need to fix that. It's not fair.

First and foremost, up voting guides (regardless of the author/champ etc.) and/or down voting guides is the prerogative of the caster of said votes. That being said, having used this site for a while now (only recently joining) the community has been subjected to a plethora of malicious voters who simply down vote with a "-1," and of course an expletive as suits there intelligence. You must realize a couple of things in order to realize the why of the problem as well as the eventual outcome.
1. These people hate because they can (welcome to the interwebs)
2. Who cares, I mean they need to do something in their parents basement/dorm room/studio apartments (respectively).
3. This same concept was addressed earlier last week and was locked by the admins with the quickness.
4. Mobafire does not care.
5. Quite a few people go so Solomid.net, apparently they have a much more positive vibe, but the overall content is much better here imo.

I think the trollers are quite comical, so because this is now the par for this site (sadly) I have simply followed suit, jumped on the band wagon and trolled along with them. However, I only up-vote guides, I would much rather have a "noob" feel somewhat validated rather than have only negative troll votes exacerbated by the lack of intellect of the trolls.

Voters are entitled to vote how they wish. If you suspect a case of account abuse (multiple voting accounts by the same person), please report the accounts and provide what evidence and background information you can and an admin will look into it.
Thanks to Jovy for the sig!
