I have always started with getting W and rushing to the blue buff as fast as possible. Before minions spawn stack as many boxes as you can in front of where the blue buff spawns, position yourself behind the blue buff... and BOOM! Free blue buff without taking damage. Great Shaco guide, the new build not only is a great compromise after recent reworks, but also makes him even more viable for split pushing.
In regards to Trinity Force Vs. Infinity Edge I came across a thread on the numbers regarding their effectiveness. Not sure if you've seen it, but I'm sure it'd come in handy.

hey I love make sword of the divine on shaco, because with it you con easily burst someone down with only 2 or 3 items. The combo deceive + sword of the divine ( 3 followed critic attacks ) and of course the bonus damage from the backstab can do more than 800 damage, if you have 100 ad ( i think my calculation is correct :P ( if you don't belive me 100 +40%+ 200+200+200+20% = 888 damage). however it doesn't help a lot in jungle speed time and usually you need to have a little bit of ad to make this item work.

This, Is completely true. I've noticed near to no difference on my shaco gameplay. Starting with a BOTRK makes up for anything lost and gives you massive sustain during counter-jungling and gives you an extra edge during 1v1's in jungle / ganks. After going with a statik shiv and IE and you are capable of assasinating any ONE person.

After those core items you can either choose to split push with a hydra or team-fight with a mallet / cleaver / maw. But it's meh cuz I RARELY RAREEEELLLYYYY make it passed IE / 25 minute games.

I absolutely disagree that Shaco is being useless despite the nerf range of Shiv. I win way over half of my games with Jungle Shaco :)

@Dwaas - Split pushing is risky business. WHY? Because of rage and idiot team mates. You will notice on your solo que journey that your team mates are tunnel visioned. They will never notice you split pushing even if you ping and say it. They will be waiting for an opportunity to engage in teamfights. Let's say that the enemy team is slightly out of position. They will initiate and die. Then blame u for split pushing and the enemy team will push to win.

This is why I say this: SPLIT PUSHING is VERY STRONG in PREMADES. STAY AROUND YOUR TEAM IN SOLO QUE. So you can always take part in the teamfights.


@Buzz - Trinity Force is not as weak as it is popularized to be now. Its just that assassins like shaco are not seen often thus the triforce has faded and seems to be a bad item. It gives you everything you need to be a balance of burst and survival. However if you are die-hard against it. Infinity edge OR frozen mallet are good alternatives.

@Unawesomeness - Eh. Small golems are often for your top laner or bot lane even after new patch. Takes too much time to do it, rather gank :D

Nice guide but trinity forces is not a good item on shaco because it's too expensive and it only give u a little bit of burst + little bit of tankyness infinity edge is really better in my opinion anyway good job :) ( sry for my bad english :S )

i just started to play shaco, its going great but what do you suggest to do in the late game? just keep split pushing? or just trying to assassinate the carries? i love the champion even after the nerfs, but i still dont know what is the best to do.
