But why is my MMR too high in silver 2 but not high enough in silver 1, and why do I get matched with people in silver 3 more frequently in silver 1 than in silver 2 and almost never with golds but in silver 2 i get matched with golds and silver 1s frequently

great now I lose 9 and win 8 but I've won a lot more than lose in this division

I feel like I'm just not wanted in Gold because I can't find a reason why I'm losing triple the LP I gain after losing a couple of games even though I have won a lot more than lost so far in this division...

Because your MMR is lower than the average MMR for Silver 1/Gold 5. The system sees you as higher than where you should be, so its insuring your good enough to be there by putting you in a painful climbing position.

Ok my LP loss/gain seems to be back to normal, I'm winning/losing in the low 20s and mid-high teens, so thats nice. Just needed to let a bit of anger and frustration out.

when i was playing on a silver 2 account to get it to gold, i literally won 22 games in a row from 20 pts in silver 2 and it JUST got me to silver 1 promo to gold.

I'm silver 1, lost my series twice so far and I'm on a pretty big ish loss streak but I'm still getting ~30 LP per win and losing ~10. In silver 2 I got around 20 LP per wins and lost the same amount. So iunno.

if you win more than you lose, you should have no trouble climbing. i know you want to get to that promotion series badly but you just have to take it game by game and the lp gains will come!
