Finally found a decent quality of Serial Experiments Lain torrent. What a pain in the *** it was, since the anime was released in the late of 1998.

While waiting for the torrent download (4 Seeders, 0 leechers) I'll talk about the 2 latest anime I finished.

Hataraku Maou-sama!: When I first read the synopsis and saw the tags (Romance, demons, comedy, shonen...) I thought It would a be cliché bad romcom anime. But what intrigued me is the 8.23/10 it got on myanimelist. I had to give it a go.

It turned out to be not as bad as I expected. Although It's not worth the 8.20/10 imo, It's still decent for a romcom.

What I liked about it is the characters' preset aswell as the fact that It was actually funny at moments. (Not Nichijou funny, but not bitter aswell).

TL,DR: Only watch it if you're into romcoms. Otherwise It's not made for you.

Acchi Kocchi: A comedy anime with a pint of romance. I didn't enjoy it as much as I expected for many reasons:

1- Too girly. Waaay too girly.
2- Comedy not consistent. There are some really funny scenes but there are some fail attempts at making people laugh aswell.
3- The art and characters have this cute aspect that got way overused through the episodes. (Cat mouth, Nose bleeds, cat sounds, sentences beginning and finishing with "nya"...)

TL,DR: It's an average comedy anime. Although there are some really funny scenes, I can't help but admit that this anime is mainly made for girls. As a guy, you'll always find yourself saying "Oh, kay we got it cute bla bla cut it out" every episode.

Next I'll be watching Serial Experiments Lain. I have a feeling I won't be disappointed by it.

EDIT: Torrent freezes at 85%, great. While I'm looking for a another version of the SEL torrent, I'm watching K. (No it's not a typo, the anime is named "K"). And so far so good. The shonen aspect doesn't have a strong impact which I really appreciate. Can't wait to watch the rest.

****, stop spamming Cuddles >.>

Recommend things that fit his tastes, don't just throw all kinds of **** out there.

Just finished reading Molester Man.

It starts out slow and has some inconsistencies, but it does most things well and the author has a very cool art-style.

The stuff with the onahole was ****ing hilarious.

Also, that front flip into OTL position.

I'm not sure it fits in the 'romcom' category, but it is a romance story at the very least.
Overall it's definitely worth a recommendation if you're into the genre.

I think you might wanna have a look at this one YayaFTW.

I did notice that the art was very similar in style to that of another series I've read and unsurprisingly it was the same author. It's called Masturbation/Onani Master Kurosawa and I'm not quite sure over how I feel about that manga. I think I think it's good-ish, but I never really took the time to think it over when I read it a while back.

Dunno if anyone has mentioned it yet, but if you ever feel like killing yourself, but feel like you need a good reason just go watch Jyu oh Sei.

Thank you Miss Maw, CasterMaster and Arcana3 for the sweet sigs. I'd definitely recommend you to anyone looking for a nice sig.

Lol What?

Kara no Kyoukai is an action anime with no scifi elements.

Samurai Champloo is an action anime with no scifi elements.

Shinsekai Yori is an action anime with no scifi elements.

Zetsuen no Tempest is an action anime with no scifi elements.

How these don't fit what s/he requested is beyond me.
The only anime that might not would be Kuroko no Basuke.

Ghost in the shell is an action series that does have scifi elements, still action though.

Among the ones you recommended there are several (you even mentioned two of them yourself..) ones that don't fit the description. If you recommend ~10 total and there are several (2-5) that don't fit the criteria I think this applies perfectly: "don't just throw all kinds of **** out there."

Keep the recommendations DOWN. Don't go recommending 10-20 things at a time, for ****'s sake.
If he likes the first few recommendations then you could go ahead and recommend a few more, depending on what he liked, but to throw 10-20 out instantly is just stupid.

I've read the first chapter on Batoto, It was fairly interesting. Well considering the first chapter only, I can safely say It has that romcom preset. I will definitely read it as soon as I print the scanlations. (It feels much better on paper than on a screen, and I have a printer at home so It won't be expensive at all)

Yea, Angel Beats was manageable emotion-wise because the only truly sad episode was the last one.

Clannad basically laughed at my manliness.

I finished watching K. (Also called K-Project)

Basically, It was another one of those wasted potential anime. When I finished watching the last episode, I couldn't help but feel like I watched an anime with great potential but in the hands of amateurs.

No plot focus. Example: Let's say the episode will talk about a surprise twist in the event. 5 mins of that episode actually talks about that major event twist, while the other 20 mins talks about how undercooked the beef a character had for lunch was.

****load of plot holes. You basically don't know where stuff come from. Why did he get this power, why is he king, what is an X, what is this Y. And most of the questions you ask yourself are left unanswered.

******ed and genius ending at the same time. Don't wanna spoil anything so I'll leave it at that.

The preset was awesome, epic, amazing. But after episode 3, the plot didn't commit to that preset and thus totally screwed the rest.

Meh, I don't know if you should watch it or not. I'm sure you won't get pissed because you wasted time watching it, but you'll definitely get pissed at how shameful it is that an anime with such a preset gets wasted like that.
