-1 for the same reasons as Laggermeister. Also, I don't think scaling runes are very good at all, with the exception of scaling MR. Runes are generally for more early-game power, but scaling MR glyphs work because they are superior to flat MR glyphs at level 9, when many mages hit their first peak.
http://leagueoflegends.wikia.com/wiki/Gold_efficiency
Scaling mana regen quint at level 18 provides 4.32 mana regen / 5 seconds, which is the equivalent of 260 gold. No other rune in the game compares to this gold value, which makes it much more efficient to buy anything else you might want to get [like ability power].
Same argument goes for scaling ability power glyphs, if you run the numbers.
That's about the runes.
About the masteries, you can change points between Expanded Mind and Mastermind, but it's really a nuance. I personally like the larger mana pool in the early levels.
And about DFG - if you read the item section you would know that I wrote that it is the most exchangeable item in the build and provided 5 different scenarios where it should be swapped for another item. In fact, most of the time it isn't part of my build, but same as with the runes, I tried to make a general case scenario. It's still a good item for late in the game because it provides the ability to deal with tanks through %HP damage, which Orianna only receives from her Liandry's. It gives you a great amount of AP and extra CDR which is very important to her. Many people think that you should only get DFG if you plan to assassinate someone, but that, in my opinion, is not the most important use of this item. For assassination tools, read my comments on lich bane.
About being squishy. Next time you play Orianna, try to count the number of times you auto-attack during a teamfight. After your initial combo, your only sustained damage is command: attack and your auto-attacks. Unless you are running, which means you are losing the game anyway, you should be auto-attacking as much as possible. Even if you get only 3 auto-attacks in a teamfight before you have to retreat, with Nashor's tooth, that is still the equivalent of an extra ability dealing 105% AP. You'd certainly like that as part of your combo.
RUNES: Never split your runes three ways like that. You'll gain no benefit because the absolute bonuses of the runes are very small.
MASTERIES: Don't take
ITEMS: Vynertje already mentioned DFG is bad. So is Nashor's Tooth. You are too squishy to stand and lob autoattacks at enemies - which also brings me to the fact that your item build lacks defense.
Wrong runes, wrong masteries, wrong items. Looks like you're on the wrong ball, pal.
Saw that you wrote a guide titled "Ten Commandments for writing a guide".
Here's one commandment for writing a comment: if you make a judgement call, explain yourself, or you won't be taken seriously.
Guide has potential, just detail it more a bit and if you can, please change the name of the guide.
"Orianna Guide" isn't such an interesting title to an interesting guide.

Title change done. What do you think is not detailed enough?
