I'm just gonna' leave this here. I'm sure people can understand the problem.
Anyway. It's hardly surprising that McDonald's workers look at this problem and think, "I really need to make more."

minimum wage should be raised but not to $15 thats too much, a small raise to it should be fine
Tipping generally requires two things mcdonalds workers don't have.
Time and Care.
Cause mcdonalds.
Anyways, people need to stop complaining.
at least you have a job.
unless your complaining then you don't but oh well.

thanks Hogopogo for the banner :D
Here in Quebec :

The rate when receiving tips looks VERY favorable to me, because in my experience waiters and the such receive well over $1.40 of tips per hour

Higher minimum wages = lower margins. It's a supply/demand, there's a flood of unskilled uneducated labor in the market, there is no reason to raise the wage as there will always be people willing to work for the current minimum.
I'm all for fast food raising their wages slightly. MW is not a livable wage, but 15$ is way too much. Fast food isn't something you should aspire to do, and you should be paid for the quality of work you do. I'm sure they work extremely hard, but it doesn't take a genius to pull **** out of a warming tray, mop floors, and clean toilets.
I don't really see what Obama has to do with this, moon. I don't think those people are pushing for double minimum wage, just that fast food employers pay a living wage whilst they rake in record profits. I disagree with both, you're paid for your skills/education.
Some people just get the short end of the stick. Their parents didn't push an education or they didn't go to school at all, and now they are broke. I empathize. The way to break that cycle is to push YOUR kids to excel at school, get scholarships, and make something of themselves. It may be too late for us, but we can make the next generation better than we were.
