Too much exposition. Someone lay it out simply. What are the suggested solutions?
1) Vyn and Xeres are suggesting that these special guests try and put a bit more effort and information into their guide instead of the bare minimum.
2) Also that these guide writers are encouraged to respond to comments.
What else did I miss?

Put in place a system of quality assurance. Have someone established (I'll just use Jhoi as an example) proof-read the content these guest authors are publishing and ensure that the guides they are writing fit a standard of quality.
Mass produced and extremely high quality guides are not the issue here. Mass produced and low quality guides are.
I'm kind of sad that this is even a thread. I put a lot of effort into my guides. I try to make sure that they are both informative and visually pleasing for you guys. I don't see how it matters if one of us have released a guide.. You can just release yours as well, and if the community likes it then it will get high-rated (there are plenty of high-rated non guest guides).
We're trying to give you guys the best that we can, a lot of us are busy a lot of the time. I personally thought that people would like the fact that I'm taking the time to make the max amount of guides that I can (and I get a lot of good feedback) untill I saw this thread..

I feel similarly, Hoodstomp. I put a lot of time and effort into my guides, trying to make them informative and nicely polished. It seems so far in the comments that people have been receiving the guides well, but if anyone disagrees and has any feedback then feel free to message me about it.
Obviously some people will be able to write more in depth guides with fancier BBC coding than others, but I feel that the guides I'm putting out give a good overview on how to play and build the champions I'm talking about. As Hoodstomp said as well, a lot of the special guest writers are also busy. I try to make time every day to work on guides to produce as much content as I can for the community, but it's not always possible when trying to juggle school, scrims, and individual practice in solo queue as well, not to mention spending time with friends and family.
I feel that saying the guest writers are vomiting content onto the front page is even accurate either, considering most of the guides, at least the ones I am writing, have been received well.
I also have one question, what made you single out these 3 guest writers, when Heartbeat writes guide that are about equal in depth but he seems to be receiving little to no flak here. Is there something he is doing that I should adopt?
I put hard work into the guides I make, publish them, and then read and respond to the comments on all of the guides. If you have feedback I'd love to hear it, because I know that I'm no expert at writing guides yet. I'm putting forth my best effort though to help improve the community's knowledge on many of the champions that I play.

can people not just appreciate the fact that experienced players like this are taking the time to make proper guides for us?
and whats all this 'super low effort' nonsense? The guides have everything you need to know to play these champions properly. I think most people underestimate the work that comes into making multiple guides
I feel like this is just one of those 'pls give my guide more attention' threads. If you want your guides to get noticed, step up your game and stop complaining.

I was about to write a long *** reply but I realized that I would start a fiery discussion so I decided not to :D
Just asking though, what makes their guides so much better than the other top rated guides that they get all the attention?
Also, how do they check all 8-10 of their guides regularly so they can update them?
How do they manage to maintain so many guides?
I liked some of the pro player guides, but a lot of them just seem like the same template (text included) used over and over again. That's what I mean by lack of effort lol
EDIT: Nvm I take everything that I said in this thread back. Apart from some exceptions most of the top rated guides are aimed at unranked/bronze players and have less than effective builds. I'd take these guides over those even if I feel like less work was put in to these.

who cares if it is? it includes everything you need to know and that's really all a guide has to be. not some sort of ******** art contest

I do. If someone say, a diamond I player were to come here, make a guide with much more effort put in to it with an equally viable build and similar amount of experience to the special guest authors, why should his guide be valued less than the special guest ones? Why should his not be featured in that fancy special guest place?
