The guides are fine, why should we oppose them?
Just finish your guides anyway, the special guest guides should not have too much influence on your guide.

there is nothing to avoid it, imo. But I think if you can do better, you should still write a guide. you can also completely ignore what is coming out while you are writing one.
Btw, you should have an
Irelia guide, shouldn't you?

LOL! I literally JUST made a thread in the vet forums about this.

Edit: this was what I said in my thread:

It's maybe annoying that they are shown as suggestions in every list even if they got a worse rating than many other guides but don't be demotivated because of this if you know you can make a good guide for the champion. I think it would get the deserved attention especially because you're Platinum. ~

Its not about me making or not making my guide, I was mainly wondering if people are thinking just like me. The problem I have is mainly the way the guides are made, just some basic information popped into a template without any real effort. The quality of the guide (and the information given) is overall okay, but not really in a way that it would tell something new to a gold+ player, which, in my opinion, is what these pro's should.
And yes, I had an
Irelia guide but I archived it because I wasn't playing her as much.
And jhoi, your post is exactly my point. People will stop wanting to write new guides because their guides get swarmed by cheaply-made pro (and paid) guides.

Yeah, I wrote a comment under Yoda's
Lee Sin guide and didn't get attention. I asked him for editing his cheat sheet and thinking about 21/9/0 Masteries but til now nothing happened. He has just updated the guide after Pacth 3.10 but it seems that he does not pay attention on the comment section :|

So yeah, just as the title says, I personally am getting tired of 3 special guests (Hoodstomp, Yoda and Gleebglarbu) somewhat mass-producing guides for pretty much all popular champions for their role. Personally I've had plans onto making a couple of guides for champions I like, but every single time I start on one, there always is a special guest having finished one for that one champion, which obviously is quite demotivating.
I'd like to hear your thoughts on this :)
