You should change the section in which you tell people to take blue "smiteless". With new smite, only ******s would do first buff smiteless and this guide is making them think it's ok. Otherwise a fantastic guide! 5/5!

You are very right sir, I will get on that ASAP

LegenDKilleR191,

First of all I'm glad you loved the guide, and now to address your questions:

Banshee's Veil is a MUCH better option than spirit visage for Nautilus for a couple of reasons. 1) Banshee's Veil offers higher bonus health, which is very important for Nautilus' shield, 2) The spell shield passive is invaluable in negating enemy initiation, 3) With the nerfs to Perseverance , Spirit Visage's passive is not worth the spell shield, bonus health, or 45 health regen for 5 seconds, that Banshee's Veil offers, on a champion with no self-healing abilities such as Nautilus.

I would never recommend buying Mercury's Treads unless going up against 5 AP champions. You are already receiving tenacity from your Spirit of the Ancient Golem so it would be a waste. The movement speed offered by Mobility Boots is invaluable to your early-game ganking strategy. If the game goes extremely late and everyone (or their ADC) on both teams is at full-build, buying red and blue elixirs, then I would recommend buying Ninja Tabi.

I hope those answered your questions!

well i must say i`m glade you responded quickly :D
i think that the regen that Spirit Visage offers is much better than the Banshee's Veil passive shield ]even with the mastery] as in the team fights you already have the tenacity to handle all kinds of crowd control and i didn`t take the Spirit of the Ancient Golem in mind to be honest so i think that the Ninja Tabi is a good option after all ^^

don`t you think getting a spirit visage instead of the banshee ? and a mercury`s treads instead of the mobility boots ? as he doesn`t need that much of mov. speed in the late game cause of his CC ?

Really great guide, targets all areas of tankiness, stability and the will to carry. I went 18/0/6, 6/0/6 and 7/10/33. I was going balls deep the last game but I greatly recommend this guide to anyone that loves Naut as much as me. Ap runes aren't necessarily needed, you'll have a better clear time with this setup and catch anyone that thinks they'll outrun you. Plus the atk spd runes work great with red buff and your w skill. The faster the hitting, the more Dmg you'll do :D

Koznetic,

I appreciate the kind words. I'm glad you did so well and good luck on the Field's of Justice!

good guide
i was also wondering what you're thoughts on wit's end are ?

Ultimatestorybro,

Thank you, good name.
And Wit's End is a very viable item for the champion [Nautilus], but not necessarily for a full tank build. It's attack speed boost is great, because, as I've mentioned in my guide, attack speed is Nautilus's best synergy offensively. The magic resist and passive are relatively insignificant later in the game and so I would say to only build it if you are ahead in the early game because it can really help push your advantage. It also might be worth the buy when building a AP Bruiser/Magic Penetration Nautilus. Hope that helped.
