I think that platinum begins to become the "high elo". I think many gold players are good, but they're still lacking the mechanics and decision making that most of the platinum players have.

Vapora Dark-Are you implying that any plat beats/should beat any gold and below player? Or just the ones that play vs TNN?

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

Demographics aren't a good tool for judgement.

American SAT average is 1500/2400.

Most aim for 2000+

Yes. I'm not saying plats are gods, 1st time plat Zed isn't going to stomp a gold Lux main, but if it's a plat Zed main vs a gold Lux main, the plat should logically win. Because after all, there's a reason plat players can get to plat, whereas gold players are stuck in gold.

Actually I would change my opinion from Plat V to mid tiers of Plat, because some just stop trying once they've reached platinum.

So then if I told you that I won vs Plat 1 that who mains vayne as twitch in bot having less then 10 games of twitch or that I stomped a plat 4 who played zed in jungle as J4 again having less then 10 games on that champ (less then 10 in ranked and only a handful in normals/dom) would you call me a liar?

P.s.Made a correction I actually had screen shot from Zed game and he doesn't main Zed.

If you have any questions, feel free to PM me.

@LevasK

Because there's literally no other way of assuming what ones given potential skill level is, its fair to assume that most plat players are better than gold players generally. No one ever said its impossible for a lower tiered player to beat an upper tiered one. Its also very possible that a lower tiered player is better than an upper tiered player but there'd be no way of knowing that until they go face to face.

tldr: the ranking system is solely used to determine who is the best, even if it ain't perfect, its pretty much all we've got.

The difference between gold/platinum isn't purely mechanical. It is mainly decision making. However, if you win in lane I would rather consider it a matter of matchup or luck. Obviously golds do stand a chance, but golds should only win accidentally.

Besides, J4 jungle is op and zed jungle sucks lol.

Diamond II and above, speaking from experience.

I honestly think plat is a complete joke compared to what it was last season, and I honestly think diamond v and iv are a joke as well. Diamond and Plat in S3 isn't anywhere NEAR what it was in S2.

Even the skill of diamond 1 players can fluctuate greatly. I know plenty of people who are there and admit to me it is only because of how much they played to get there and how little they play once they are there. Once you get above 20-30 points in diamond 1 the players start getting legitimately skilled if they aren't trolling.
