^ this. and if you delve deeper congress itself doesn't really do much...all just talking heads...their aids/offices do the work...most of the time they just look at a sticky note on most bills that says 'vote yes/no'...of course the decision is based primarily on re-election and special interests, though occasionally not.
that's why discussing politics or getting angry about it is a waste of time. voting is your only chance to voice your opinion and that is essentially a dice throw, but take what you can get....better than not rolling the dice i suppose.

From my understanding, Hilary Clinton will be running again. Just curious on what people thought about that since politics are being discussed here.

The Founding Fathers began a nation and ratified a document that set rules for the government that prohibited it from abusing it's citizens, the Constitution.
It was then amended 27 times and on the 4th, this article was ratified:
Article the sixth ...... The right of the people to be secure in their persons, houses, papers, and effects, against unreasonable searches and seizures, shall not be violated, and no Warrants shall issue, but upon probable cause, supported by Oath or affirmation, and particularly describing the place to be searched, and the persons or things to be seized.
Obama yesterday, stood on the same place where Luther made his speech, and his speech (Obama's) was basically the biggest insult I have seen a president make about this country.
He ignores the constitution and then has the audacity to talk about how wonderful it was that the black community stood up and demanded the rights there were promised but weren't given. He ignores the millions more telling him that are basically doing the exact same thing, Standing up, demanding that their right be given to them. The only difference is that one is racial equality, no segregation, and the other is privacy. Both of these were promised to the people of the United States and people have fought for both. The president celebrates the first, but completely ignores the second? Does he really think the country is this ****ing stupid?
I'm done ranting, hopefully Ron Paul has a change of heart and tries for president. At least he understands the ****ing LAWS.
