i'll be the one weirdo and say i agree with most of these points, but obviously it is subjective. a lot of the prominent voices on this website hate bot games but i think if used properly they are perfectly acceptable when used as a tool to learn the mechanics of a given champ you have never played before. also they provide a VERY basic schematic of the meta and how to play the game.

most of you haven't been a noob for quite some time...in some cases years...so obviously playing bots now is trivial. this is true for me also even though i only started playing this season, but i still use bots from time to time to learn the mechanics of a champ i have NEVER played.

should you only play bots till you get to 30? no....should you play against bots when you are first learning how to play the game? yes. playing normals at a low level imo is WORSE than playing bots because nobody has a f*cking clue what they are doing. at least bots stick to a watered down example of the current meta.

in any case i agree with a lot of these points because i play this game for fun and the social/teamwork aspect. some people play it purely for the competitive aspect and obviously than they will disagree with a lot of your points. this list is for your style, but your style may not fit the majority of the LoL community.

I agree 100% with you,+1 rep.

Playing bots shouldn't be "taboo" . Hell, I play bots when I haven't played a champion before just to get an idea of what they do or to practice my last hitting(when I notice my CS scores have been low. Playing bots until you're level 30 IS a bad idea. Playing against real people will help you get better because you learn. It's also good to learn on your own.

Also, may I ask why people would be scared of ARAM? I think ARAM is a wonderful way to learn because it forces you to play champs you normally don't and forces you to learn.

I learnt so much bad **** in bots. It's not worth it. You can learn your champ mechanics in a better simulated situation if you go into normals.

But yeah, if this was a written guide, I'd downvote this without question.

You may learn your champions mechanics better or more likely you will fall flat on your face, get easily killed, probably have your team mates telling you that you are a feeder and to report you...you make the mistake of assuming people care if you are new to a champion or not.

Practices makes perfect and being in a environment where you are told you just suck isn't going to help you learn, in fact it probably put you off playing LOL all together.

And if this was a guide fine downvote it all you like, I don't mind people liking or hating this guide but I am pretty sure if this was written by someone with more pedigree in the forum alot of people will say it a wonderful piece for newcomers.

Forums are full of A$$ kissers

the only time i play bots is if im playing with like my friends that are just starting the game or if im first timing a champion just so i can get used to the ranges of abilities and where/how i can use them on the map before i jump into a normal not knowing anything but its only one game

or if i just want a quick easy and fast first win of the day

Prehaps I misworded it because nobody has read it clearly

When I said dont be affraid I meant that people who are given a champion they are not firmilar with or a champion whose style/role isn't to their taste feel a need to quickly quit and hope for better next time, I pointed out that people shouldnt do this and just try them out because in most matches probably 50% will also be trying a champion for the first time.

I may as well remove this because no one respects my opinion, the only +rep given was to a guy agreeing with what I said :(
