In the manga she makes an awesome speech about the rotten nature of humankind, which I'm really sad they skipped for the anime. Fuck that shit >.> I really like Annie as a character, not only because she's strong and smart, but also because she seems to have personal reasons for her actions and her behavior reflects that. When the anime changes a bunch of things around I feel like her behavior seems a lot less consistent and I really wish the anime would stop changing such important things. I read like 20 chapters before realizing that I had better things to read in both those categories. But if you don't have high standards and like laughing while jerking off I guess it's the perfect series for you.[/quote]

Also, Teenagers wouldn't enjoy the series because of the long dialogues and banter, simply because they are more prone to shonen-ish stuff and silly romance than what the [i]Monogatari Series[/i] has to offer. - You can't really associate it to a specific genre. It has a little bit of everything (comedy, romance, mystery, supernatural, superpower, action, drama, ecchi) that shows up through the numerous dialogues, monologues, silly banter and rare action scenes. In other words, You either enjoy or dislike the [i]Monogatari Series[/i]. Although I believe "decent" would be a standard rating solely because of the soundtrack and the animation, people would call it good (even great) if they enjoyed the series. [i]Monogatari Series[/i] is a pleasure to the eyes, it has one of the best art/animation out there right now, The OST and OP/EDs are ranked among the best aswell. I believe this is the reason Nisemonogatari still got above 8/10 on MAL and other websites, despite the unnecessary and exaggerated fan-service. (I mean Nisemonogatari was borderline porn/incest) Now I will be watching [i]Nekomonogatari Kuro[/i], and follow up with [i]Shiro[/i] (Monogatari Series 2nd season). I haven't seen Shiro yet, so I hope it lives up to the hype it gets right now.
