Just watched the shoutcast of game 1. It was really interesting to hear what was said about my Zhonya's purchase. I'd never considered the stuff that was mentioned before, learnt something new =3
I'm pretty unsure of positioning on Syndra... I default to positioning her like Orianna. Staying back, poking as I can trying to find the opportunity for that all important combo. But. I find it's much harder for me to blow Syndra's load appropriately than Orianna's when I position like that. However, I can't go balls in unless the front line opens a great opportunity. Should I be positioning more like an assassin? Trying to get round the sides or backs of fights to catch the back lines unawares? Prep a Q, chuck one down, throw down the first, 2-sphere stun, conjure another then DFG and 6-sphere ult. It blows up squishies and executes really quick so I can be in an out. However I don't have the mobility that Ahri does, so maybe that sort of thing won't work safely.
Bah, really annoyed at myself now. I've been watching a **** tonne of Syndra streams lately but not paid attention to that detail, and truly, I know where and how to improve in lane, it's out of it where I'm unsure of what to be doing. As Falseo said, I was an AP carry who wasn't AP carrying :/ I do think I should be looking to catch people out more as Syndra. That is something she excels at.

Woah now I feel like I hit ya hard or something. To be fair, you were against players who knew how to position well and Vayne snowballed so fast it was hard for you to get work done before she tore you appart. I personally think you should've been more to the back, preparing balls just in case. They had a good pickup comp and once red buff vayne with QSS caught you there was little you could do. Only move in if you're 100% sure you'll get the kill in those cases, otherwise pop the stun, prep the slow and fall back with the rest of the team.
Syndra's mainly about the AOE and the utility, your ultimate is great if you're fed to blow up carries or as a countermeasure against those caught out of position/cc'ed. Asides from those opportunities, you should mainly be at the backline casting spells and probably be one of the last to fall.

Thanks for carrying me on my Caitlyn game beibi, I'm just not used to playing Caity after all them Vayne/Lucian games D:
@Falseo
Nah, you didn't hit me hard. I'm highly self-critical and I could feel myself wasting Syndra's potential throughout the game. I regularly type up a list of some of the stuff I did wrong after the SS are up. I learnt some good stuff from the shoutcast and from what you just typed up =3 My own internal commentary of the match is miles harder than anything in the shoutcast. I'm like "And Syndra's missing the harass again" and "asdfafsad. wtf was that stun? Just... What?" Some of those spheres were just wacko... Which is really odd because scatter the weak precision is usually one of my strongest points. I've been trying to use double-sphere stuns more for combos, but most of the time I have good accuracy with one. That game... I dunno how I sent a sphere at a 90o angle to the target, lol.
Oh yeah, it was really hard to hear MM on the recordings, at least not without turning it to the point that you were painfully loud. Something worth bearing in mind, I think.

My adc played very well.
Also @Nayaad:
You could've played much more aggresive at lvl 1-5 since you had the upper hand at damage.
At level 6 or more it was either farm and get poked by me or let your jungler hold your lane and you roam. Also you could've warded your wraith entry since roaming midlaners on purple use that route to go behind your botlane. Luckily your botlane had it vision wraded and warded at times.
Not sure if you can still do the grab ball and shoot to hit the stun easier. if you can, then it would make your life easier playing her.
But I am not a syndra player nor a good midlaner.

I went completely chicken in that match up and had no concept of AP Corki's range, CDs or damage. I had visions throughout the lane of me getting poked low then you valkyring in and chasing me down ;_;. If I'd paid attention to the fact you had no ignite, I would have known that wouldn't be much of a problem. But yes, you are entirely right, I had the advantage if only I had taken it. But, despite trying to Q you when you made last hits I was still missing :/.
Had I been making that harass, I could have made a kill post-6, but without the initial damage to wear you down I did not have the capability to all in. Roaming would have been a good idea. And thanks for pointing that out about the wraith camp. I'd been seeing that ward a lot when watching streams but not understood why it was placed there (I usually ward more towards enemy blue, unless their jungler keeps invading, so I take wraith ward). I'll keep that in mind in future.
Truly, confidence is exceedingly important for me, and I lack it entirely when I go against champions I do not know the capabilities of. I should be able to quickly learn your ranges and CDs, but I didn't because my brain just completely shuts off in these situations. It's the reason why I'm struggling to learn top and jungle so much.
