I feel somewhat stupid for not using it sooner, but i guess my reasoning was that i saw shaco as a crit carry moreso than anything else. Hydra+sotd+ie makes him a bursty crit carry with splitpushing potential.

Personally, anyone who's meant to get the kill within the 3 crits. For example, I use BT on SotD Rengar instead of Hydra, because rarely do people live past my 3 crits anyway. BT has 25 more AD, which means approximately 50 more damage per crit, so it does approximately 150 more damage than Hydra within the 3 crits. Hydra only becomes useful if your enemy lives past the 3 crits. ( But even then on Rengar, you'd still have nearly 2.5 attack speed, and Hydra does as much damage as an auto-attack, so casting it when you have near max attack speed anyway is a waste )
That being said, Hydra is stronger for split-pushing, so even then it could have a place on Rengar, depending on how you play him.

BOTRK is much better on vayne in my opinion, and you don't need to stack it WITH BT because that's just completely unnecessary life steal even though you are getting the damage buff.

I like it on SoTD Zed,Rengar,Malphite(yes SoTD Malphite TEH ASIAN STYLE BRO) and Sometime when I'm feeling Silly SoTD Draven and Jayce
BUT on Jayce I go for silly Builds like YG-IE-LW and just 1 shot everything with 3.25% Crits lol(Try it that **** is Fun as Heck)
Also Lemon Actually BT is better on Vayne in Endgame Scenarios
