yeah, the farms are kinda worthless, but you still need 128 of them to unlock all the achievements. I just stopped buying them after reaching 130 farms, so it doesn't look like a random number (I like it to get every building to end with a number of 5 or 0 :P)

I think the last one I finished was the castle stairs. That was tough.

Dropping candies changes the text, that's it. Eating them increases your HP for quests. I'm not that far through, I only played a few rounds between LoL last night.
