I never really liked the premise of Terraria, as it seemed to me like a flat version of Minecraft. However, that patchlog looks amazing. Minecraft is so stale now; having left it for nearly a year and to come back to it almost exactly the same was hella disappointing :/ Maybe I'll buy a copy of Terraria when this patch comes out.
I bought Terraria when it was 75% off, and have only played it a handful of hours, I will be playing a lot more now since they are adding so much stuff to the game.
but I do Agree with jhoijhoi I never did like it's Premise, and mine craft has gotten dull. Unless your playing on a server but even then It's getting boring :(

I find the problem of Minecraft is that once you finish a project, it's really hard to want to start a new one, especially when the surrounding area is already built up and cluttered. I feel like creative is too easy and not really that rewarding, but survival is a tough plough to get everything you need to make x.
the thing with terraria is that its a fully functional game. a lot of the **** in minecraft was implemented poorly and then fixed later.
terraria also has a ton of monsters weapons and armors and stuff. i'd describe terraria more as a kind of actiony exploration game with rpg and building elements, while minecraft is more or less a lego simulator.

the highlighted things in blue, green, and yellow zones are new.
anything in red and purple are all new.
