Pickpocket is quite worthless (do the math on the amount of gold you can get from it) while the improved exhaust is really good.

Yeah, pretty much explains it. Maybe in laningphase you'll autoattack sort of often, but in teamfights it's completely useless, while improved
Exhaust gives some nice bonuses :)

I counted the amount of gold I got off with pickpocket once with Sona. Didn't even break 100 gold when laning phase ended, and we absolutely SHAT on our lane opponents which allowed me to auto a lot more than average.

You could auto-attack a lot and not even get half the bonus because the five second cooldown. Remember that too.
Honestly, to me it's like an extra Gp10 item. With runes/masteries/items (including Pickpocket
), I pretty much have 28 Gp10, up from 16.
