Yay. Leona ragequit two minutes in after her and Varus gave up a double kill to Vayne, Jax lost top hard and Lee Sin did nothing but die. Best part? The other team was **** talking the whole game...the WHOLE ****ING GAME. How ****ing classless do you have to be to brag about winning a 4v5 holy **** this game has a ****ty community sometimes.

They picked Ryze just before my turn, and I hate playing against him with both Wukong and Talon, and my third choice Zed was banned; despite the fact I haven't played him in a good couple months I just had this random idea to play Xerath. I mean I enjoy playing him and I'm quite good with him but I haven't had much success with him in solo queue so picking him was a real gamble but it ended up working out nicely, Ryze fed me First Blood and basically got perma-zoned from there. Meanwhile bot was stomping, our jungler was doing great, and our Xin Zhao was holding top even despite giving up an early kill to Cho. Pretty easy game with a couple minor hiccups but we closed it out pretty painlessly in the end.

@Hogopogo
Yep haha that's soloqueue for you, and yeah I'll play with you anytime, I'm usually online quite a bit :P

We had a rocky start, it was really back and forth but they had a slight advantage which turned into a significant advantage when Caitlyn stole dragon with a blind Q after Kha'Zix neglected to mention he had no Smite (my fault though, should've made sure to ask him). I had a real tough time against Annie early in lane since I was getting ganked right left and center by Yi, and they finally got her a kill out of it after like the fifth gank. But I roamed top and got two kills, and used those to get back into it and although it was mostly kill-die-kill-die for a while I finally went on a long killstreak at the end; we ended up winning because Rengar's single target assassination + My AoE/range + Soraka heal + moar damage from Kha and Corki = cya nerds. In other words we won teamfights quite hard despite being on even terms, like not even a massive Tibbers could save them.

Edit: Lost a Zed game in between those last two, started out great but we couldn't focus in teamfights to save our lives and their Yi got fed out of his mind so we lsot.

Well...I did it. It was like 3am so I forgot to screenshot the end-game of my last series game (was too busy marathoning to screenshot any of them actually), but at long loooooooooong last I finally reached my goal :D.

I gotta say, Season 3 was really something for me. I mean considering I was hopelessly stuck in Bronze for ~250 games I think its pretty awesome that I managed to sneak into Gold at the end. More importantly though I've come a ridiculously long way as a player; at the beginning of Season 3 I was an immature extremely volatile player who only really played Garen and prioritized kills waaaaaaay more than those silly objectives. I had a negative attitude, little to no game knowledge whatsoever and averaged probably about 85-90 cs at 20 minutes. I did nothing but blame team-mates (nothing's changed there hue) and couldn't improve at all because I just didn't understand the game enough to know what mistakes I was making, I'd go 8-2 and lose because I didn't take any objectives or really help at all and then I would rage and ***** about how bad my team was.

Finally after changing my perspective and realizing I only had myself to blame for being in bronze, I managed to get to Silver and the rest is history (by that I mean readable in this thread).

Now that I'm Gold, I think I'll just play Normals and spam mid to try and increase my mid lane champ pool, I'll probably be maining it even harder in Season 4; I'll try as hard as I can to get it every game (without starting a flame war or pissing people off) and then just have 2-3 champs I can play decently in every other role if someone else takes it.

My goal is at least Platinum V by the end of Season 4, and honestly its extremely doable if I don't get like horridly screwed over in placements or something. Here's a quick breakdown of my current Ranked champion pool, along with my personal skill /10 with them:

Top Lane

1. Renekton, 8/10

2. Aatrox, 7/10

3. Shen, 7/10

4. Jax, 6/10

Jungle

1. Jarvan IV, 8/10

2. Nocturne, 8/10

3. Aatrox, 6/10

Mid Lane

1. Talon, 9.75/10 (can't give a ten, always more to learn)

2. Wukong, 9/10 (bit of a niche, might not bring out as often in S4)

3. Xerath, 8/10

4. Zed, 7.5/10

5. Ezreal, 7/10 (Triforce and Tear rush followed by a semi-blue build sorta thing)

6. Pantheon, 7/10 (I can play him really really well still, but he's just so risky and prone to ganks that I haven't had any sort of significant success since Bronze)

7. Kassadin, 6.5/10

8. Kha'Zix, 6/10 (I can still play him but I haven't truly done well since the "re-work" and might abandon him completely if he doesn't receive any buffs soon)

In Development:

- Diana

- Fizz

- Brand

- Lissandra (I feel pretty confident with her, but my only two Season 3 games went horrible overall outside of getting myself First Blood, needs a bit more time)

- Twisted Fate (this one's a maybe)

ADC/Marksman

1. Caitlyn, 8/10

2. Ezreal, 7.5/10

3. Vayne, 6.5/10

4. Graves, 6/10

And for support...if I really really really have to I can play Leona but if that's gone I'm kinda screwed, I won't be spending any time expanding this roster either since I hate the role and well and truly suck at it.

Feel free to make any suggestions or comments!

^support Jarvan IV is usually unexpected and very good if you know what you are doing.

as a pubstomp kill-lane sort of thing or as an actual strategy?

Quick update, I couldn't keep my promise of only doing Normals because they're kind of a joke with instalockers/trolls/******ed team comps etc. Gold V seems to be a really really odd mix, you get some people who are really obviously elo boosted, some Diamond/high Plat smurfs who single-handedly end games in 10 minutes and everything in between all thrown into one division/mmr. I had climbed up to ~68 LP at one point but then promptly fell back to 0 and only recently snapped a 3 game skid, sitting at 22 now. The nice part about pre-season is I don't have to get overly upset at all over losses since it doesn't mean as much anymore so I've just been playing to practice and get better without a whole lot of care about winning/losing, I just focus on how I played and what I could've done better. Probably won't be screen shotting individual games unless I suddenly decide its important or something really crazy happens.
