Locked my keys in my car and didn't realize till I got off work. Waited till 11PM to call locksmith after spending 30 mins looking frantically for my keys. They didn't come till 12 something, at least a really nice coworker stayed for me. Fourth offense really, I never learn. I had the money but hated it cause I kept daydreaming all day about coming home and getting **** done. But nope. On my way home I almost ran over a ****ing raccoon that was attempting to commit suicide, and that scared the **** out of me. I missed it by less than a foot. Cried the entire ride home like a dork.
**** today.
**** today.

How does one lock one's keys in one's car? O.o
Seriously, I wanna know.
Do you lock the car then push the keys in through a tiny opening in the window?

"I also am Otherkin. Whenever autumn rolls around I can feel my kin-type slowly taking over my body. You must know, I identify as pumpkin. I can control it pretty good most of the time, but when September ends, I just cant hold it in anymore. Whenever Im outside I see my brothers and sisters being chopped into soup, coffee, donuts, cake, drinks, bread - ppl even cut human faces into their skin, making a mockery out of their noble appearance. When I see things like that I cant control my pumpkin urges anymore. My natural instincts kick in. I then sit down motionless, while getting bright orange." - Morgana L

Searz, that comment makes your lack of years quite apparent.
Also the relative high standard of living you're used to.
In the olden days, like 10-20 years ago, most/some cars didn't have remote controls for (un)locking.
You used to lock the car, by pressing in the lock on the inside of the door, then closing the door.
Yes one can still use the key on the drivers side, but it's a habit many people have learned over the years and it sticks. Press button, close door. It's just easier and more efficient that way.
Down side is that one can lock the key inside this way.
Up side is, cars of this age can be opened relatively easy with a long stiff wire.
You has no idea how many times my mom locked her keys in the car......O_o

I'm just not into cars. I'm trying to avoid owning a car for as long as I can to avoid all the costs that come with them.
I ride my bike 4miles to school almost every day. Good exercise and saves a ton of money.
It's only a pain when it's winter and -15 degrees outside.

This much is obvious.

This however, is not obvious.
I thought the cars were simply locked from the outside with the key.

Honestly, I doubt those 5-10seconds you save by pressing the button are worth the time, money and pain in the *** of potentially locking your keys in the car.
