You want to keep the 1016 votes and not the comments? Seriously.
New voting system fixes that issue :)
I think it would be a better idea to either
1) swap around the order of comments (newest first) or
2) hide old comments, so that the 10 last comments are shown first. Ofc people can still read old comments with a simple click of a button :)

Not for a month it doesn't.
But even so, it's the concept. He wants to sweep the comments which are 3-years since irrelevant but not the votes which are just as irrelevant. Why not just republish a guide which will accomplish both? Because he wants to keep the votes = more views = more chance of upvotes.
This is not a problem at all. Republishing a guide will make sure the votes and comments are up-to-date.
I agree, but in that case I think archived guides older than a year should be deleted. They are most likely utterly useless and only take up space.

Republishing removes the view count. The new voting system makes the 1015 votes irrelevant anyways... Sweeping the comments would be the easiest way but I was just asking for thoughts on this idea , I just wanted to see how the community reacts to this :).
Thanks to Plickz and Alexanpt for the awesome Sigs!

I like Option 1, it allows people (including the maker) to see the most recent comments, which are going to be the comments that are actually relevant to the guide at the time.
Definitely like that idea.

Thanks to YayaFTW for the sig.
