Republishing removes the view count.
Don't get how this is a problem either. Since when was the number of view counts relevant to the voting/comments/rating of the guide? We don't have a 'search by most views' option AFAIK.
The views made prior to date 'x' are irrelevant anyway, since those views were made on an out-dated version of the guide.
A republished guide will show how many people viewed the guide, commented on the guide and voted on the guide since it was kept up to date.
And also, under the new system, the 1016 votes are still technically a problem. Since you are currently occupying a top spot, people will still come to your guide and continuously give upvotes as opposed to lower guides which don't have as much coverage or exposure. I would have agreed with you had all the votes been given a hard reset, but it doesn't look like they were.
Irrelevant comments aren't a problem, irrelevant votes aren't a problem, view count was never a problem.
The reverse chronological order of comments may be useful, though.

The view count is to show what I have achieved actually. To get that feeling of accomplishment

God forbid that it has any relevance to your guide content whatsoever. I guess we should develop a comment sweeping system just so you can stroke your ego.

Accomplishment of what, having mobafire advertise your guide and make money off it?
