Sure they are. The champions tagged as tanks don't belong to a specific role. Leona is a support, Galio is a mid-laner, Nautilus is a jungler, Shen is a top laner and so on. What they have in common is that they are all naturally tanky. It doesn't define which function they serve in a team. Alistar, Leona and Blitz are all tanky champions and they are most frequently played as supports. Zac, Shen and Singed are all tanky and most frequently played as top laners.

I remember this guy. You might as well not bother talking to him. His English is bad and his game understanding is poor and he refuses to acknowledge the latter, or rather he is completely oblivious and unaware of the latter.

Alistar is a support AND a tank. The same goes with Blitzcrank and Leona.

ali has tank spells and hes ult is bye no means a support spell. a support ult would be jannas for example. i gess no one watches the spotlights

if you watch riots spotlight on Leona. they say it them self Leona. is a pure tank. so is alistar its the community that is defining there roles to be played but that dos not change the fact what they were made for. this kind of thinking makes me happy when i play ali so thats all . ill keep enjoying my easy wins
