So I am a silver 5 NA player i have been playing league of legends since well I think March after I got bored of dota. So I found it a bit easy to play. The point of this thread though is i want to know what i can do to Win the game when your playing top. I have very recently started playing renekton exclusively and have been very successful with him in some match ups where he probably shouldnt be winning however I almost never win the game. I pick ren when we have a squashy support and sometimes jungle so i can soak up damage for the team in team fights. I also enjoy playing him because well the players where I am in cant really deal with him that and a combination of armour pen runes win me the lane everytime But for some reason i never win the game. After i have won the lane i would push then roam where i see i can be useful if there is no place i counter jungle because the enemy laner would not really want to fight me at this point and if it is possible i take the turret usually being dropped to half hp while the top laner tries to kill me. I get the turret though and kill the laner if they stick around so far I build ren as an offtank bruiser Opting for early damage if i am winning the lane or counter items if the lane is fair my build would be a doran shield to start pot and warding trinket I follow this up with either Brutalizer and if i have enough gold a ruby crystal because that item can be built into so many useful things if the enemy jungler and top laner are ad i go for chain vest and try to rush sunfire while also trying to build blackcleaver as it works very well with ren. For a heavy ap comp i build visage and get as much hp as i can while also building my blackcleaver and sunfire boots are almost always mercs never anything else and masteries i go 21 9 0 if i know i will win the lane and 13 17 0 if their jungler or laner have a strong early game.
That is how i play and i have played over 20 games as ren in both SR and TF But in the 8 games i have had in SR i have only won 2 I never ever loss my lane and am pretty almost always focused by the jungler in which case i would feign ignorance to their atempt to gank me so that they waste time hovering in the brush or river which i ward either close to baron as most junglers scan the brush.
However In all these games i have played even the ones i Have won my team and i dont mean just the laners but my entire team would feed. I dont rage or anything like that but what exactly can i do. If the jungler is in trouble in our jungle on top lane i help sure but wehen mid gives fb 3 minutes in th egame bot just dies whenever they get back how exaclty can i win games like that and not lose my own lane the only reason we won the other two was because we had shen mid and him together with myself and jax were able to tank cc lock and destroy the enemy team. The other game i had won my mid won the lane but every single other game i played all the lanes fed and one or two people would rage quit........

I'm fairly new to the game , been playing about two months and I also need help with toplaning moreso because I lack skill instead of having bad teams but from what I'm reading from your post it seems like it could be communication or having been matched with different skill levels due to the scrambled players in the newly reset season or communication , the best idea I can think of is bring a friend with you to play preferably a good jungler that can help all of the struggling lanes. That's all I can think of atm
Thanks to The_Nameless_Bard for the epic sigpic

Also, check out my Soundcloud, I make music..kinda

Renekton is all about early game and being a lane bully. If you lose your lane as renekton, you're a bad renekton. The later the game goes on, the worse renekton is.

Do do do dee do do do

Well, the annoying thing is that at Bronze and Silver level (I should know, I'm there) the only way you're going to win is if you play well enough to carry your entire team.

So once you've won your lane, taken the tower, great. Your job is just starting. You have to force objectives with your team. Really focus on taking towers, dragon, Baron.

Kills aren't as important as them. Rather than roam and try to kill someone, then head back to your lane, you should roam, take a tower and then push the lane. Then rotate to a different lane and push that one.

It's annoying, but just winning your lane isn't enough.

If you're wnning your lane as hard as you say you are, then you should have no problem winning games. As a top, you will constantly have opportunities to help mid push their turret down, help ward (very important), and push down top, of course. Mid giving first blood? Tell them to defend, and watch out for a chance to gank for them. The opportunities are there, so you just need to keep an eye out for them.
