I want to recommend my personal favorite (if s1 is searching for an anime to watch)
Welcome to the N.H.K
I've read about half the manga. Not sure how much of the anime that covers.
From what I hear the anime is slightly better than the manga, but still roughly the same.
It's decent, but nothing special. The single biggest flaw is probably that the subject matter is never given enough time.
"I saw [Twilight: Eclipse] in theaters with a girl I was dating at the time. I spent more time staring at my toes and wiggling them than I did watching this abomination. When Edward proposed to Blank Face, I finally looked up with a revelation.
I blurted out loud, in a dead silent theater full of teenage girls on opening night "Wait a minute, Edward has no blood flow. How does he get an erection?" I heard several men laughing, and had several girls turn and stare at me.
I did not get laid that night." - Berengier817

Yea, you are right with that. It feels like many single storys or chapters merged very tight together. But it's the whole concept with those modern day psychological problems which made it so <333 for me!
Finished watching Aku no Hana.
It was decent but weird. It was so weird that I'm starting to think it's intentional.
The 10 seconds face close-ups, the 20 seconds stills on the same scenery with a not so friendly background music, the shaky art/animation, like everything is weird and it ends up making you feel really uncomfortable.
As for the plot, the man behind it is not your regular human being, I can guarantee that.
The ED song though...I don't know if it's a masterpiece, or some ritual to summon some demon or some ****, like you've got to listen to it to see what I mean:
Overall, I'd give it a 6/10. Not bad, but it wasn't right up my alley though. Definitely not a waste of time once you get used to that weird atmosphere.
I'll be watching Deadman Wonderland now.

That song is so cool in a creepy way

Aku no Hana is just so deliciously awkward and weird. I love what I've seen of it. I might even watch the anime.
Just one question, is there rape involved? :D

There's no rape :)
BUT!
I found Deadman Wonderland's opening to be pretty awesome.
Watched the first 4 episodes, not bad at all! I like how the plot is going. I also like Shiro as a character. However, I don't really like the main character at all, I feel like he should be older, right now he makes the anime look silly.
A bit "shonen-ish" though, but the concept is amazing.
What I'm sure of is that it's another anime that could have been better in the hands of SHAFT/Aniplex.

Yeah, TOO BAD THEY DO BUGGER ALL WITH IT.
The entire 'blood control' thing is just a convenient excuse for people to have magic powers honestly. There's just so much ******** and cliche **** going on with their abilities that the entire thing just falls apart.

It's not worth their time. The original material isn't good enough.

"I also am Otherkin. Whenever autumn rolls around I can feel my kin-type slowly taking over my body. You must know, I identify as pumpkin. I can control it pretty good most of the time, but when September ends, I just cant hold it in anymore. Whenever Im outside I see my brothers and sisters being chopped into soup, coffee, donuts, cake, drinks, bread - ppl even cut human faces into their skin, making a mockery out of their noble appearance. When I see things like that I cant control my pumpkin urges anymore. My natural instincts kick in. I then sit down motionless, while getting bright orange." - Morgana L
