They didn't nerf it, they modified the formula to give you more for longer games and less for shorter games, and took out the bonus IP you got for a streak of not leaving games, since they felt with the leaverbuster system it wasn't needed anymore. They are giving more IP total since they took that out.
For some reason, though, it's bugged, and it is giving you way less than it is supposed to. It will be fixed soon, and they are going to give some form of compensation for the IP we are losing out on now.

getting 6300 IP is not that hard. I dont play much 2-3 games a day is the usual. I often do a 1 win of the day only and i was able to afford the new champs each patch week. 6300 in 2 weeks is 450 IP a day, not that hard.
If you cant afford it than dont buy it. It isnt a good idea to buy a 6300 IP Champ without testing anyway.
