You said yourself that you still rage in your head, doesn't matter if you don't write, but it's still affecting you.
It's not that you improved by raging less,
it's that you raged less after improving and getting into higher tiers.
What I realized is that most ppl don't really care about the lose itself (normally they know they'll lose long before it's over), but about bad plays.
Losing against a strong enemy isn't as enraging as losing due to things which could have gone well if you possess a decent amount of cognitive ability or basic knowledge of the game.

Nah the guy is right. Just not raging can move you up quite a lot.
Once you stop raging you will start improving, but until then there is no chance of that happening.
