Hey, I looked on your profile and saw you were playing jungle wukong (or at least using smite)
Jungle wukong scales heavily with damage, as your ult does huge damage per second, which allows you to sneak into the lane using your Warrior Trickster followed by Nimbus Strike then Crushing Blow followed by your ultimate Cyclone this is the optimal combo you want to do. Wukong does alot of physical damage and his ulti as it does damage per second is really good at shredding armor if you buy Black Cleaver.

A general quick build that you can follow is Hunter's Machete > Spirit Stone > Spirit of the Elder Lizard + Boots. Then you can start getting some damage items such as The Brutalizer, Black Cleaver, Last Whisper. Randuin's Omen Is a great defensive item on wukong as you can use the active just when you jump in to slow everybody so they are in your ult for longer!

Hope this helps you :), if not try and look around and see what works best for you.

If you are not lvl 20+ ,yet do no waste your IP on pre Tier3 runes, not worth the IP.
So only buy Tier 3 runes.

Wu scales with AD,ofc.Since he is a pretty basic and easy champ his mast+runes are as well.
What runes i would suggest for wu is :

Jungle:
- 2x LifeSeal quints + 1 Flat AD quint
- Armor Yellow
- Magic resist Blue (or CDR if the enemy team is mainly ad)
- Flat AD Red

Top: You can run the same runes as for jungle, but i would suggest
- Armor Pen Red.

Masteries:
- 21/9/0 simple as that, which ones specifically? Focus on any ad+dmg+armor pen
- when u get to ranked and you are vs a heavy poke champ or 'bully' go 9/21/0 to be safe.

As for the playstyle.Well like i said,he is a pretty easy champ to play and he isn't hard to master.

Lane : Your playstyle really depends on who your opponent is.If the opponent is someone who can bully you and or zone you, just sit tight and farm ,if the champs pokes you,do not be afraid to poke back with some AA and Q ,do not engage with E.So let him push the wave and farm closer to the turret. If it's the other way around , well then it's pretty simple is it not? Poke poke poke but do not overextend as you are quite easy to gank and you only your W to rely on.,try to save your flash. (tip : remember that your ult does a knock up,so do not be afraid to pop it when ganked to try and disengage). My personal fav.item for Wu is Triforce, some say it's not good anymore for S4 ,but i disagree. You can't go wrong with Black Cleaver ,and remember to build some items that give you some tankiness, like Sunfire and/or Randuins Omen/Spirit Visage

Jungle : When ganking remember that outside form your ult you do not have any c.c. ,so start the gank with the W to get behind the enemy champion.(tell your lane champion which you are helping to start the gank) ,try to save your E for the chase if the enemy champion tries to escape / flash. My suggestion is rush Spirit of the Ancient Golem, wich gives you 10 % CDR so that you will have lower cooldowns on your Ultimate, for easier ganks.

First off i'd like to say that i think you've chosen an excellent champ to main especially if you're new to the game. I myself am by no means an expert player and am fairly new to the game as well. If there is one thing i've learned about this game it's that skill with a champion is far more important than what the meta tells you is a "favorable match up". What i mean by this is that even if a particular champ counters another, it doesn't mean squat if you cant play the counter correctly and this brings me back to my original point. Wukong is a very good top laner, a strong jungler, and can even be played mid as a counter to some popular ap champ. If you're able to learn him then you'll be able to play him in multiple rolls increasing your overall effectiveness as a player as well as making the game more enjoyable as a whole. as far as runes are concerned the previous comment about tier 3 runes is correct. Don't buy anything except tier 3's and when you do i'd reccomend flat AD marks and quints, flat armor yellows, and either scaling/flat magic resist blues. Wukong scales very well with ad so the marks and quints give you a huge damage boost early and also make last hitting much easier on him as well as any other ad champ so you'll get a lot of use out of the rune page. the flat armor yellows are imo non-negotiable. top/jung they are irreplaceable, making the early game so much easier on youself you have to have them. as for blues i myself take flat mr for the same reason, they make the early game easier and imo better early game=more wins. Hope you have fun above all else and happy summoning!
