AD Bruiser Leona Top: Why and How
I tried my build in a botgame first, starting with Doran's Shield, then Phage into Sheen to Trinity Force as first item, following with Sterak's and Frozen Mallet.
So it was a bit surprising for me to see Blade of the Ruined King as first item because I don't think atk speed and lifesteal would benefit her much. Is it essential to get before Trinity Force?
I then just farmed until I could finish my bork, then that was game. I couldnt kill him 1v1, but if I would all in, he would be less than quarter health.
After I finished sunfire cape, I could sit around and bully him like no other. I ended up picking up a double kill on a gank from midlane. It's very different, but fun. If yall havent tried it, I recommend it if you feel like you want to try something new!
With a rushed Trinity Force, I end up getting Sunfire, and Banshee's veil, with the rest of the items depending on what is needed.
Banshee's Veil is fantastic on Leona. You'll be diving in to team fights, soaking up initial CC and burst, but Banshee's works well for an initiating tank.
I can understand the desire to get lifesteal with BotRK, but imo, it serves to slow down the tankiness of Leona. Trinity Force is amazing as a first item, but after that, I find myself needing the HP and tankiness of Sunfire and Banshee's. Both are not too expensive, so you can get a power spike in tankiness relatively cheap.
Interesting guide, I actually play a ranked game where I had to play solo bot thanks to ****ing Teemo troll :(
I got some decent gold in and decided to go with this build order even though I took AP runes, dmg was ridiculous. There was a pretty large period of time where nobody had any idea how much dmg I did and i got free kills of of idiots trying to kite me (ashe >.>)
One item I would suggest to at least add in as a possible item to get (you should have a situational item section rather than just build order imo) is Warmog's, because that bit of health really helps you stay alive until your stuff is off CD.
My favourite build: (I have only played one game tho)
Blade, Trinity, Tabi/Mercs, Sunfire, Randuins/Spirit Visage, Warmogs
I would highly consider adding spirit visage into a situational item section as well btw
What blade are you speaking of? Ruined king? Youmoos? guinsoos?
