Neeeeever mind. They later decided to bless me with a really **** game, a game where I was dc'd for the first 5 minutes because my loading screen kept crashing, and a game where everyone got the role they wanted... then everyone except me lost their lane, and our support went afk until the surrender vote was available.
I think duoing with someone would more quickly get you back into plat. The extra bit of consistency that comes with having a duo partner can really make a difference, yo

I've never really known anyone consistent who's the same Elo as me. Apart from Totallynotn00b, but we both mained the same role which made things complicated, and he's become inactive anyway.
Lost a 5v4 game (Jax reconnected at like the last 3 minutes and just farmed, then we lost) because Udyr refused to group because our bot lane lost so hard. Lol.
Casually wrecking Swain counters in lane. Nothing new there.
I'm probably gonna take a break from ranked until I've got my new computer. Since yesterday I've been getting really harsh FPS drops that leave me on 1-5 FPS, and it becomes hard to even move my screen properly, let alone play. It's so bad that it doesn't even register my key hits sometimes. Like there was one point in that Swain game where it took me like 5 seconds to turn off ult after my initial try because the game kept freezing just as I pressed R to try and cancel it. :S

IMO Duoing only works if you have some level of synergy. Fact is that once you duo, you get matched with higher ranked people to make up for the premade advantage which means it's only worth it if you're going to use that advantage.
