Ha! I love it a lot, going to try it next time I play with my friends, Question: How should I treat laning phase/mid-game respectively with this build??

Thanks :)

Nami's AP scaling is superb, one of the best in game, only bad when not analysing it in-depth and looking only at the damage part. Thats what I wanted to show with the Fizz comparison.

The math is sound because the increase of ~100% works on "the previous bounce" meaning the base value that increase referes to is itself increased, resulting in an additional 300% instead of just 200%.

Cool, getting more AP would be awesome, especially since the "scaling on scaling" gets so devastating the more AP you have... imagine 6k damage just from your W with 2000 AP.

Theorycrafting LoL is only a waste of time if you don't apply it in game.

Wasted a few minutes on explaining why is this guide false a bit, have fun reading.

First of all, saying that Nami's full combo scales with only 180% AP is false, you can use your E up to 3 times, meaning that a full combo will end up having 220% AP scaling, and even then, you can use your w bounce to make it scale with greater.

you also said that Fizz has a total of 370% AP scaling, how did that became true?
you can't really tell that, since in order to get 370% AP scaling as Fizz, you need to auto attack a few tiems with your W, a "combo" of quickly pressing all the buttons won't deal 370% of your AP.

Also, Fizz is a high burst assassin, which specializes in a very high burst, why won't you pick a random mage and compare Nami to that?
Lissandra would have 235% AP scaling with a full combo.
Viktor would have 223% AP scaling with a full combo, extra 10% AP scaling for each second you stay in his ult.
Lux would have 265% AP scaling with a full combo, if she gets her passive 3 times.
Even a Syndra with maximum balls will have only 310% AP scaling.
Assassins will always have higher damage then Mages, but less AOE/CC/and stuff like that, That's why you can't compare Nami's scaling to Fizz's scaling.

Is Nami behind in scaling? yeah. she is. Nami does have lower AP scaling then all of those who above, but because of her w bounce mechanic, while having 1000 ap, just bounce it once by healing yourself and letting it do the damage like that, her W will technically have 80% AP scaling, or a total of 250% AP with a full combo, so you can't really tell that her scaling is bad, her W bounce mechanic is there to cover it up.

Your math inside "Nami's AP Scalings" is wrong.
W dmg while having "max AP", 1545 AP:
first bounce: 1002.5.
second bounce: 2013.771875.
third bounce: 3025.04375, not 4047.

"The damage and healing value is modified by -15% + (7.5% per 100 Ability Power) each bounce."
meaning that it would be modified by -30% + (15% per 100 Ability Power) at the third bounce.
This will result in 201.75% value modification at the third bounce.

saying that 1545 is "max AP", is also wrong, you can get up to 1582 AP by getting items that grant most AP, 5 dragons, baron, full AP per level runes, AP mastries, and an elixir.
but even then, you can still get some more extra AP if you get a Zeke's buff from an ally, or a Taric ult.

Now, I have no idea why I wasted those minutes writing it down, but I hope it will help you somehow.

@xereniak: Lately Ive been swaying more to gold per second builds including spellthiefs as a money item without the frost queens upgrade. I take gold runes with this start and play a lot more passive, waiting for my hillarious late game. A lot of adcs tend to play too passive :( Ruby crystal with AP runes is still the ideal combat start.

I want to try this when I get home today, Season 7 started yesterday and I'd like to climb the ladder with Nami. My question is when you say "I take gold runes", are you talking about like 9 gold per second seals and the rest still AP? Do you eventually sell the spellthief's?

A question for you: I see that spellthief's is currently included in the recommended item build at the start. As a strict follower of ruby crystal start on Nami, I would like to know if this is a mistake in the guide or if you've found something out about the spellthiefs that simply was not included in the guide.

PS.: Love the AP Nami build. I've heard this called a troll build, but head to head against any other nami and their adc, my heals and cc are just too much. I've even gone 1v1 against fed warwicks and udyrs and simply kited them to death with 60% slows and huge damage/heals. Imagine the shock on Udyr's face when he can't run away!! OwO thanks for the awesome guide~(could use an s5 update though)

The title caught my eye during my biology class and I just knew (I'm a nami main) that when I got back to my dorm that I had to try it.
The only difference is that you'll be losing a bunch of utility that comes with Mikael's Crucible and items like that.
But other than that, seems fun and I can't wait to try it.

Merely a troll/fun, build/guide!

Thank you so much for this build, i have always mained support and leona at that to be more specific. Well that all changed when i got my *** kicked by a Nami and completely out sustained me and ever since i have been learning how to play her but i have been using a classic support build on her that works but this build in my eyes will become a complete game changer and hopefully help me climb from gol to high plat. I would love to talk to you a little bit more for some more pointers! thanks again for this unorthodox and amazing build!

I'm curious, too :) I remember that one game when I was destroyed by the enemy Nami and she told me afterwards that she was following this guide... always cheers me up.

I was looking at my dad's match history and saw him starting Health Crystal into Sightstone into Mejai's on support Nami and I thought, wtf is going on here. He informed me he was following a guide on MobaFire. I thought to myself, "Oh no, he's found one of those troll guides".

Imagine my surprise when it was actually this guide he was following :P He's 3 wins/3 losses at the moment following this build. He's still in Bronze 4, but let's see if he can climb to Diamond with it :P

Hi you, Ô mighty Lord of nami!

First of all, a huge gg, because since I saw this guide I bought Nami and I kinda shred the botlane if my adc is good <3 You gave me taste to Nami, and she's so fun to play! Your guide is really the best Nami guide I've seen so far, congrats!

Mejaii is DEFINETELY a must-have if you can handle nami. But I prefer picking Boots of Lucidity over Mercurys, because cheaper, don't need the MR and tenacity (since I never get caught, or when I do, they are 4 on me and I die xD) and obvisouly because of the CDR; more efficient early, and such utility!

Anyway, a HUGE thumb up for this awesome nami guide, an awesome build for an awesome champ!

Did I say I want damage? Surely that's not all you take from this guide! If I wanted damage I would go MPen marks and 21 offense, I would get sorcerer's and rush DFG.

Honestly, AP does not just translate into damage. It gives utility. Nami stays a support, but she turns into a more potent one - and that's why I say it is good to play her that way.
