I just started playing Volibear top in normals, mostly for the lvl 10 nostalgia, but I noticed he's quite fun there and if he's not countered - which he is easily in top - he's really strong. My build path though has been a bit of a cluster**** since it's been quite a while since I played him.

I enjoy playing him a bit offensive so I thought my items should be Ninja Tabi/ Mercury's Treads, Spirit Visage, Statikk Shiv, Blade of the Ruined King, Randuin's Omen and either Warmog's Armor, Sunfire Aegis or Banshee's Veil. Which order of which items would be optimal? And again, we're talking about normals.

I would probably say a Blade of the Ruined King first depending on how the lane phase goes, then into either a Spirit Visage or a Randuin's Omen depending on who's more fed on their team. Then build the other one you didn't build. If you want to do a bit more damage without sacrificing defensive stats, Iceborn Gauntlet could be an idea as well. not the best item on volibear but it does give him some extra armor while still giving him a power boost. Finally last item being a Warmog's Armor or something of the sort i guess that could give you extra beefiness yet that still adds damage to your w. I think it's something like that i would do. you could always replace the Iceborn Gauntlet to a Sunfire Aegis if you prefer to go that route. Don't forget to build either your mercury's threads or Ninja Tabi depending on situation :).

I don't play much Volibear mind you and it's something i just came up with on the fly but i think it should somewhat work :).

I wouldn't build Blade of the Ruined King first, just abuse Frenzy 's base damage and build tanky ( Sunfire Aegis / Randuin's Omen + Spirit Visage) before looking into offensive items like BotRK (note that despite building tanky the bonus health from these items will increase Frenzy 's damage). I'd also grab Wit's End over Statikk Shiv as I feel he doesn't really benefit from the crit chance and doesn't need the item's passive (unless your team completely lacks waveclear / you want to splitpush faster, I guess). Warmog's Armor or Thornmail should be decent choices as a last item. Finally, it should be noted that Boots of Swiftness is a great choice vs teams with a lot of slows.
