Welcome!
What the title says! Basically, you review the last person who posted in this thread and then post a reply linking a work you want reviewed. The next person reviews you and posts a link to their work, and on it happily goes. To prevent unfortunate cases where you review someone, but someone else posts their request faster than you, you can reserve a spot with a post.

Rules
  • Review the person above you. Or else. If you don't, a mod will be contacted and your post will be deleted.
  • Play nice. That means no spam/one-liner reviews AND have the common courtesy of politeness.
  • If you reserve a post, don't take longer than a day to do the actual review.

What if...
Q: ... I don't have a guide?
That's why this says "work". If you're a signature artist, or a theory crafter, or an avid blogger, or a Q&A user, you can participate too. Just link whatever you want reviewed. This may confuse some people as this is in the "Build & Guide Discussion" forum, but for the most part, most review shops are located here and until a "Review" forum is created (unlikely) this seemed to be the best place to host this thread.

Q: ... I still want to participate but don't have anything at all to be reviewed?
Definitely possible; there are plenty of notable members here at MobaFire who enjoy participating in other people's work and not producing their own. Consider your post a "freebie" turn, wherein the person who posts after you doesn't have to review ^^ Alternatively, you could link someone else's work.

Q: ... someone doesn't do their part?
If you catch someone not following the rules, shoot a PM to a mod - whilst this isn't an "official" thing for MobaFire, we can at least dob them in. Mods will deal with dratted rule-breakers and see that a review is sent the proper way.

Q: ... I've just had a turn and want another go?
Well, you'll have to wait for someone to review your work and then post again. If days go by without someone posting, just PM me and I'll bump the thread for you ^^ But by all means, post here as many times as you like, as long as you're following the rules and reviewing the work in the post above yours!

So, I'll start off...

Work to be reviewed: Making a Guide

And to make this fair, the first person who posts in participation will also receive a review from me ^^ EDIT: Reviewed Nick's Zed guide! :)

Review done. Wasn't sure where to post it so (this thread or the discussion tab of the guide itself).

I've never reviewed a guide before, but understand game mechanics, champions and item interaction really well, even if my skills as a player are only Bronze in OCE (Ah those few bad matchups always bust me back down into Bronze 3 again and again after spending 3 weeks getting back up to Bronze 2).

Onto the Guide.

The basic aspects of the cheat sheet are well set out and displayed and although there was some confusion as to why you had 2 Core builds, the notes explanation cleared that up. I do agree with your starting options, though the Sword start is a little more risky in some situations where rushing Vampiric Scepter will be needed I can see it being rather viable. The downside is that there aren't any viable defensive and offensive items listed. Considering he's an AD Caster Assassin with lifesteal I didn't see Spirit Visage listed in the cheat sheet, but I came down under in your itemization. What is in the cheat sheet should be a reflection of what is in the guide. The cheat-sheet is a summary or an abstract of what is in a guide.

Your guide is eloquently set out and your choices for colours, textures, borders and images are well thought out and well placed. They indeed fit the theme of blood and death which from my experience versing Zed rings true. So much so I am jelling right now.

I like how that whilst both example builds seem different, what they build out of or their general theme is relatively the same, so It gives people who use your guide the ability to be versatile during a game, which is what guides should do.

However the draw back for me with your setting out comes when you reach the Skill Order section and subsequent parts. There is a saying in retail that you don't ever want customers to see a bare section of shelf in a store. Same thing applies here. You need to either change your columns OR maybe put some vertical banners down the side; images or animation or the like to get rid of that big black mass.

My main gripe and this may not be an issue for other reviewers is that I feel there wasn't enough information in the tactical section of your guide. For example on how to go about laning against your counters, things to watchout for and maybe the occasional item recommendation. How do I lane against this champion and still remain a threat when team fights role about? This fundamental question isn't answered for me in your match-up section.

Summary:

Quantity of Content: 5/10
Quality of Content: 9/10
Design/Coding: 10/10
