Summoner spell and ultimate timers are long overdo. Ever since Riot added them to the spectator mode they should've introduced that in the game, the green dot is not enough and often bugs out as well.

i think that karthus bug is still in the game even after his rework, had 2 people rage quit when i played a karthus game cuz the green dot was there after i ulted when i was in my passive
and yeah a lot of the things they added into the spectator mode should have been added into the game, i would say team-wide gold numbers since i think thats in smite but it would make it too obvious when the enemy team takes an objective

The green dot bugs out frequently as a result of revives such as

^ I've misplayed today due to that green dot, didn't realize our Janna had
Monsoon on CD because she had the dot green.
As said, I don't think this will change the experience at higher elos that much. However, I'm curious how it will affect lower elos. You often don't even see Dragon being done in bronze until like 12+ minutes into the game, will this pressure lower elo players to go for it? EXCITING!!1

Hehehe low elo player right here, what I am going to tell you is that the timer isn't going to affect anything in my level. I would sometimes call for a baron or a dragon and nobody gives a **** and goes "push mid" or "just go kill blablabla", and even when the timer shows that the baron is almost up no one bothers to go there to wait for it and kill it and so on.
stonewall is correct your all not seeing big picture this change wont make bad players better. Like he says in video you know the timers ok that wont matter unless you know how to invade correctly not get seen and get out. Get your team to group for dragon and so on the actual timer is nothing without the skill backing it up.
People wont get better just knowing the timers anyone who is good player already knew them if they typed it in chat or just knew it in there head its just less work more built into the game.

Being really honest here, I only agree with his opinion because I spoke with foxdrop about it and stonewall mentions that he has spoken with foxdrop as well. Imo Stonewall's opinions are usually biased as hell.
stonewall is not bias at all he knows more about game that most people here.

Does it show only your team's timer? If it doesn't show enemy timer, that keeps it more balanced.
Next they'll be doing team Ultimate timers, no one should be complaining about that.
