noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo D:
have no words for it. soo freakin good. :)
You've done a small mistake, I'll help you find it so you can put it on your '' To-do list '' :D
In the section where you explain the starting items, you've put cloth armor and FIVE!!!!! HEALTH POTIONS!! It's supposed to be 4 health potions in the images, NOT FIVE!!
Please fix this so it doesn't confuse newcomers to your guide!
EDIT: '' If you're going against melee mids like Zed, Yasuo or Kha'Zix, this start is really useful. It'll make you pretty tanky since the armor works well with your health runes. The !!!!!!!!!!!!! 5 !!!!!!!!!!!! health pots will keep up your sustain, and this can later be upgraded into an early Seeker's Armguard. Depending on the situation, it can actually be rushed into an early Zhonya's Hourglass. ''
Put a 4 between the !!!!!! !!!!!! and erase the 5.
Thanks in advance, Cripzy!
Thanks to your guide i managed to finish my placements, on the last game I really tought about following your guide tips & advice, and it worked!
I finished the game with 29/2/13 as Katarina and I got into silver 4.
Thank you so much <3
Jkjk welcome to the community :) Yes, you have addressed two of the problems (mana and cost); however, I'd like to go into a bit more detail to explain exactly why that's such a big issue.
The main problem is gold efficiency. In a single game, you only ever have space for 6 items. Thus, you want to make as much use out of those 6 spaces as you can. Lich Bane (like you mentioned) is very expensive (3200g — which is the same as Luden's Echo), and several of the stats are wasted. LoL Wiki has a good cost analysis, but the general gist of it is: On a champion with no mana and does not use its passive auto-attack proc, Lich Bane is only 72% efficient. This means that out of the 3200 gold it costs to create the item, you only get about 2300 gold worth out of it.
In addition, Katarina is overwhelmingly ability-based, and using autoattacks generally slows down her rapid-fire resets. In order for Lich Bane to be cost effective, you would have to take advantage of the damage proc every time you use an ability. This means her general combo goes from a simple Q -> E -> W -> R to Q -> E -> AA -> W -> AA -> R. Since Kat is so prone to CC (everyone always focuses her down in teamfights ;___;), taking that extra time can be fatal. Plus, it's way cooler to spam QEW over and over again and still get a Penta.
I will admit, sometimes when it gets to suuuuper late game, I switch out my Sorcerer's Shoes for Lich Bane. The Movement Speed difference is only about 5~, and you can take advantage of the AP instead of the Magic Pen. But even then, it depends on the game (if they have tankier people, I wouldn't recommend it). Other than that, there are simply better items to build rather than Lich Bane, so I don't think it's worth getting.
