I think someone mentioned this before, but maybe the two opposing laners can go into a separate chat room and the more experienced player can help the less experienced player get better by pointing out what they could have done better. Like for example, what plays they could have made, how to abuse a good/bad matchup, positioning, playing aggressive if the enemy has cooldowns, etc. And then later with the teamfights, they could go back to their respective teams where the higher elo players there could help them with teamfight mechanics and decision making.
This way, even if a Bronze/Silver player was matched up against a Gold/Plat/Diamond player, both parties can benefit :)

Has been mentioned before indeed, I don't think it would work that well though because you're not looking at the game objectively when you're playing against the same player. You cannot focus on A) yourself B) the game overall and C) your lane opponent.
I'd be up to try it but I just question its effectiveness.
EDIT: also not to forget A LOT of players aren't really talkative in inhouses at all.

Yeah, I know what you mean, but at the same time, it's hard to say "go easy on him". What does going easy on him mean? Letting him farm on 20% HP while you're full HP?
The inhouses are for fun, and the high elo players want to have fun, not make the game an enjoyable experience for their lane partner. I don't think it's fair to ask a high elo player to "go easy" on someone beyond just picking something unconventional.
Problem is that this matchup in the first place creates a situation that can ruin the game for everyone else if the high elo player (regardless of who it is) doesn't go extremely easy on him. That's why we need to avoid such matchups or the game will end up like it did when I was shoutcasting.

eh I agree I may have snowballed that game a bit hard, but as far as the laning phase goes I only got 2 solo kills on him I believe when I could have gotten a lot more. If you go too easy on them and let everything slide, they won't learn anything either. The other kills came mostly from me running around like an idiot and penguin ganking even though I told him not to. AND I was playing my first hecarim game ever as well... AAANYWAY this is all a bit off-topic.
One thing I think the 'higher rated' players should start doing again (and something I will do my best to start doing again) is after the game is over (or after the whole event is over) just try and give the people you laned against some tips/advice on what they did wrong or could have done better.
When there's a big skill gap between players, the least we can do is try to have the lower rated players learn something because if they just get stomped and that's it they probably won't be very eager to join another inhouse.
Overall I think everyone needs to keep in mind that these games aren't a competition. We're playing with eachother for fun and to possibly learn things from eachother. We need to emphasize that a little more in the future.

I can only think of 2 low silver players who play inhouses, and they are lynet and mastrer, so that's the only fair matchup I can think of for the two of them. But then we'd be forcing them into a role rather than letting them play what they want, AND, mastrer doesn't usually play, I've only seen him play like once or twice.

I'm planning to come to the inhouses more often (only silver II) and I don't mind playing whatever role is needed. If I need to play against a certain person to make a fair matchup, I'd be happy to fill :)

I don't remember ever seeing masterer play, but Latest Legend (Silver II) has played a few times.
But yeah that's the main problem, and there's really not a solution to it tbh. Even in fair match-ups (at least regarding bot lane) people get permacamped, and the balancing was useless.

You can't force people, yes, but what you CAN do is ask the players in lobby what role they want to play, give them that role and then you can make the decision in advance regarding who you are going put against him instead of finding out waay too late the guy is last pick and going top against a diamond player
