Well, I made my conclusion. I played 10 games (5x5 solo), and won 7/10 of them, which is a 70% win ratio. I find that with good teammates critical Kassadin can carry the game. My calculations where correct, when fed I did a major burst of 5~6k and jumped out before they could react to the damage done. I say this is viable with good teammates and I shall constuct a guide later when I have mastered critical Kassadin. Thanks for all the help guys.

But let's not discuss that here. This is about how viable crit is. Crit is ok, but I many other important items are often more useful so I wouldn't recommend using Infinity Edge on Kassadin.
Youmuu's Ghostblade and Trinity Force are great crit items for Kassadin though.
