I'm really tired right now, so I'm a little disoriented, but I assume you're talking about giving buffs to other champs that need the more?
Speaking of which, in my last game, I gave red to Trist at level one and basically gave away every buff after that. After two successful early game ganks, my team loved me. ^_^

I was 1250 and he has been banned 95% of the time. One time he isn't banned, some guy picks him and goes 0/9 in under 10 minutes.

Eh? So you don't know about this trick?
Basically you just let someone hit golem for you and they then proceed to run back to their lane. The golem chases them to the end of their range while you can keep hitting it and then it just switches to you. It saves you almost 200hp, it's great.
This was possible the moment they introduced the re-targeting system.

I couldn't have said it better myself. This is what I try to do all the time, but it's often annoying to have to write all the time..
A jungle also works quite well. Being the one to forcibly initiate ganks means that the skill of your teammates doesn't matter as much - they'll be ahead in kills and gold. A bad jungler, on the other hand, can possibly die during a gank and give his buffs to the enemy, which is disastrous for you and the lane that that enemy is in. Also, you have a lot more time to type as a jungler, since you don't have to constantly micro in lane.
