For me it's something like this:
Q: If I act like a prick, will strangers want to strangle me with a tower?
A: Yes.
Q: If banana, which I don't consider a complete stranger(I think I know he plays a game for fun), taunts me in the inhouses when he escapes a gank again, will I want to strangle him with a tower?
A: No.
I can see the humor in a lot of things, but one thing I totally can't stand is winners(strangers) saying "easy" at the end of a match. That's definitely not sportsmanlike.
The hard thing is that feelings don't always come across clearly over teh interwebz, especially without the use of emoticons. Saying "nope" is totally different from "not today :P". But it can still be received as harmful and there's a limit for everyone in terms of getting teased. It's hard to draw that line in one single game every time again and that's why I don't consider it wise to tease at all. Making fun of yourself or laughing about someone rekking you is totally fine, though. And through that you might be able to see whether they can take a punch or not, but it's still not definite and probably not worth the effort either.
Just don't say "nope" every time you make a play. Someone may have a bad day(or a bad game :P) and you don't want to accidentally hurt or annoy someone. Instead, go for the "nope" or spam /l when you miss a hook and you'll have the same amount of fun.
EDIT: The fact that you bring this up shows you're not a prick, in case you were concerned. :P

********'s a pretty good fertilizer
Saying easy at the end of games really gets on my nerves, spamming laugh does as well. Saying nope after denying a kill doesn't.
Basically, if you say something that points out that you are good I think it's all fine but if you say something that points out how bad someone else is it's really BM.

Basically you may have been good but your attitude was a tad Douchie so Leona was in her right to call you a Douche...learn from it and don't do it again

This one time I killed a Zillean as Lucian, Zillean ulted himself so I used my taunt/joke "I killed you once and I will have problems killing you again!" Then I killed him a second time.
As far as spamming jokes and laugh's it more irritating then rude. But I have been in a few arams where a Teemo or another champion with irritating emotes Spammed it at least 300 times.
Now i'm not going to lie I still spam a few times when I get Taric because you know it's just to outrageous not to, but only every few minutes not every three seconds

You'd hate me then. I constantly spam jokes/laugh/taunt (depends on champ) on ARAM, and might do it on SR depending who I'm playing. However, if it's

Thank you Byron for 2014's loudest laugh up till today

edit: To expand on this, I don't talk in chat because I could do something more useful than typing 80% of the time. For the other 20%, there are pings.

I agree with mastrer1000. Getting killed while typing is the worst thing that's ever happened to me.

you should invest in NunuBot then
You need to log in before commenting.
I would say you were a scumbag, too, if I was that
The worse case I've ever experienced was when the enemy team was spamming "Burn in hell" and stuff like that whenever they got a kill...
