The smite icon always shows the amount of damage you deal to monsters, as far as I know.
Challenger smite not only offers the true damage, also a shield 10% of your max HP and vision of your target. The real replacement to Feral Flare is Enchantment: Slayer, as it grants 40% AS, bonus AS when continiously attacking and 24 bonus on-hit magic damage. It also grants CDR, which is kinda a cool addition, in fact, every upgrade grants CDR, except Warrior.
A combination of those 2 worked really great for me on Xin and Warwick.
But the best thing I think is the movement speed on Enchantment: Juggernaut, making those immobile tanks more mobile.
