There are also a huge amount of viable items on Gnar. He doesn't necessarily need to go full tank, as he can wreck stuff like crazy in his ranged form with a bit of attack speed items, which opens quite a bunch of item choices for him. Offensively you could go with something like botrk, triforce, last whisper and ghostblade, and as a tank he can also pick up pretty much every tank item. Pretty much like a Ditto that can transform into anything you want.

Who would you guys say is a similar mid to Syndra? Im trying to get good with at least two mid laners. I main jungle atm but im trying to make sure i have at least 2 champs for each role i can play at a good level if i dont get jungle.

I tried Ahri i feel like im just not good enough to play her sadly. I find Syndra much much easier.

Zilean maybe is he a sort of lane bully in mid lane or similar at all?

Orianna is similar enough to Syndra.
Maybe Lux is as well I'm not sure.

I would also say Malzahar is very similar to her. He just isn't that great and his cc is even harder to land.

Those two are not even close to Syndra in terms of role and play style.

Well, Syndra is just very hard to compare to anyone, as she is a combination of poke champ and burst champ with strong cc. So basically, she offers everything.

I disagree. I think that the only champions similar to syndra are LeBlanc, and Veigar. Those champions are designed to be very effective at deleting one champion.

Orianna has the potential at deleting a whole team, with Command: Shockwave, but isn't quite as good at nuking someone
