Seems like it's only useful for those with auto-attack mods or low-CD abilities (like dragon lance). I've been using it on nocturne while's he's free, typically after Duskbringer.

I've been playing J4 recently, since he's free (he feels so broken) and I destroyed top lane and during that time build a Ravenous Hydra. It's certainly a fun item to use when I'm playing an assassin such as Rengar (for the extra cleave damage). But it had me wondering, when's the right time to activate it? I mean, it's essentially another auto that has increased range for decreased damage, right? So when should it be use as opposed to an auto attack?
