Actually, 3gunblades with Last Whisper and Lich Bane could be really good. You'll lose about 30% damage compared to a crit build, but everything you do will heal you a lot.

Well, AP/Spell Vamp Gangplank that gets multiple Gunblades is actually viable. Ok, so, you go into a teamfight, and the enemies are like "RAWR GET THE MOTHERF***ING PIRATE", then you walk out, ult the enemies, get a penta-kill, walk away with full health. The only problem I see is a lack of reliable damage other than your ult, but then again with like, 4 gunblades you have plenty of AP, AD, Spell Vamp, and Lifesteal, so Searz' build idea could actually be pretty damn good. Someone needs to hurry up and make this build.....

I was skeptical, but Lich Bane does provide more DPS than a Triforce would if you buy 3 gunblades.
Still, Gunblade is a pretty expensive item.

The only thing I'm worried about is if you're using your spells to keep your health up early / midgame that you're going to go oom super easily... and if you have to get a tear that will delay your gunblade, maybe consider getting Clarity?
I'm no GP expert but I know he's a mana hog.
Just something to think about, I'd love to try this build though, even though I suck with NORMAL GP builds! :D
