Personally I feel it describes the process of addiction eating away at you(and thus your life), particularly an addiction to porn and putting extremely unfeasible ideals onto your significant other, and not realizing until it had already become futile to make a change...

I don't really know if the part at 5m is from another song, but you could try out progressive house like
Tobu-Sunburst for example. That gets pretty close I guess, or at least a similar feeling.

As far as I heard/see, most ppl wouldn't really understand the message that the video tries to bring across.
On one hand it got this weird anime flair on overdrive... (Machine-gun boobs, sexy half-naked girls eating you, yandere etc.),
and on the other mainly because it touches the whole anime obsession thing in a way it's not really perceived outside Japan. (otaku culture)
The video tells about a dude who lost his girlfriend over his otaku obsession (games,anime,manga and primarily hentai) and repeats day by day while it slowly eats away at him.
Think about the "Big Bang" nerds, but being more approached/supported by the industry and also seen in a way more negative light by society.

I feel as though the creator, which was for an animation showcase, was trying to criticise anime culture and their need to oversexualise everything. Maybe I'm suffering from English teacher syndrome, who knows.
It's otaku culture as a whole, imo. The little jabs to the culture here and there, such as the Neon Genesis figures etc. Make me feel that it isn't just specific.
