This build is not good. And I can't wait until you play against a good mage who melts your face in a single rotation for not having any bonus hp or MR in the first 30 minutes.

I tried to be nice about it, but when you come on everyone else's guides and bash them... when they all have better builds then yours...I've had enough.

Wow, you are so professional in building Yorick. That kind of build is a genius really. I never thought Last Whisper is so useful on Yorick. I can't even tell if Yorick had damage because he has no armor pen until I used Last Whisper. Wow. But the only problem is...you need to update your guide and let the people know how to play Yorick correctly by using your guide! You are the Yorick Master.

Hello Pelikins. I have already used your suggestions when I first started playing Yorick many times. I have to say that way of building him has so many flaws. That is when I decided to find a better way to build him successfully and show the players that Yorick is a great champion. Trust me. Yorick is my main champion and I always carry the team even without MR which is why I prefer focusing on health. Here's my suggestion why I build him this way for many reasons.

Starting with Sapphire Crystal, it will give you double the mana to spend on your abilities. An extra 200 mana!! That is so good. Meki Pendant is good but once you spam all your abilities, you have to wait 40 to regenerate your mana to use ur abilities again. With Sapphire Crystal, you have a lot of time to spend your abilities in the lane and farm.

Yorick does need MR but I prefer giving him health items and damage just so he can kill them instantly. He really doesn't need MR since he has a huge beefy health. I only focus my main core items that gives him 40% CDR, armor, and health. With these stats, he can dominate early, mid , and late game easily.

Last Whisper is a must on him. People who play Yorick without any armor penetration makes him a very underpowered champion. Yeah, he has huge armor and health but he has no damage and armor penetration in whatsoever. His ghouls do get the benefit of armor penetration which is why I go for LW. When I played Yorick without armor penetration, I thought he is the worst champion in the game. And everyone who plays Yorick without armor pen gives Yorick a bad reputation. I was dominating the team early game but mid to late game, i was nothing. I know giving Yorick AD flat runes helps him dominate the game but when it goes to mid and late game, he can't even make a damn scratch. He is pretty much useless with no heavy damage. Just standing their tanking all the time and not helping the team.

Ive compared Ghostblade and LW and LW wins obviously. Why? Giving Yorick LW, he can kill off squishies and tank from mid to late game. Ghostblade is good but it sucks in late game use and 20 armor pen is not much of a use against a tank. He doesnt really need Ghostblade stats since he has 40% CDR and he can just spam his ghouls every seconds. He can barely auto-attack since I'm to busy spamming my ghouls that deals 300-400 damage every seconds and benefiting his passive.

Triforce is the worst item on Yorick to tell you the truth. The benefits is great but it lacks health, survivalbility, and its so damn expensive. Really, underestimated item. Ive used triforce before and it was really good with his Q but there is a better solution. Last Whisper gives out better damage on his Q compared to Triforce. Also, his minions deal quite a damage with LW and triforce is only good for his auto attack.

As for skill sequence, maxing W really helps in your lane not E. Ive seen a lot of ppl maxing E and it has almost the same magic damage as W from early to mid game. Ive maxed E first when i started playing Yorick and I noticed that I was losing so much mana because it had low cooldown and a lot of mana cost. By maxing W first, you get to harrass them in long range, has AOE damage for great farming and pushing, and a better escape use for survivalbility. If you max E instead of W first, you will have no escape ability, no farming, and just keep wasting your mana. If you max W then Q, you can really stick to your opponent whacking them every seconds. If you max W last, you will never reached to your enemies on time. Also, W works amazingly when your ganking on a team.

If we both challenge each other with Yoricks, I can guaranteed you will lose from early, mid and late game. Also, my Yorick owns Tryndamere like nothing because of his armor pen, health and armor. He is seriously an OP champ. I just hope Riot doesnt nerf him in the future. You go build whatever you think its best for Yorick but I am satisfied of what I build on Yorick. Many players were very surprised how i can actually carry the team and not suck with Yorick. Armor penetration dude. That's all you need.

Also, Phreak is right about Yoricks armor penetration and skill sequence. I just dont understand why people are so ignorant on building Yorick in a different way when Phreak already answered to his build. Ive also ignored Phreak build on Yorick but when I decided to give Yorick a chance with armor pen and W, i was very thankful. :)

A couple of suggestions.

The meki pendant will allow you to cast a lot more spells in lane than the crystal. It is plain better.

If you are looking at Ryze guides because they start with the crystal, they do that because mana adds damage to his spells.

Your guide lacks MR...kind of a problem TBH.
I know armor items are more rewarding to purchase...but having two and no MR isn't a good move.

I really don't think armor penetration is as great as people think on Yorick. Consider that both w and e do magic damage and your ult is more for utility than for damage...

I've heard that your Pen carries over to your ghouls...I'm still not a pen fan boy. AND if I was, I'd get Yorick a ghostblade over LW as flat pen is better against squishies, it would provide mobility, and make Yorick a threatening auto attacker.

Tri force is just soooooo good on Yorick. Yorick's passive gives him a nearly permanent +15% bonus damage on his auto attacks and the force covers all the auto attack essential stats. His natural scaling is 3.5 AD/level which is very high (same as Olaf!) making the procs very strong. His abilities are spammable for extra procs and the extra mobility is amazing on him. If you've never tried it...you should.

You also are maxing the wrong skills first! I don't understand that at all... You are maxing the only skill that doesn't decrease in CD as it is leveled, plus you are rushing pen and leveling a magical skill. You are missing so many procs on your tear and so much damage doing it too (specially since you are rushing pen).

e should be maxed first. getting a couple points into w is ok since it is easier to use in lane than q against non-melee and the slow will help the other ghouls land more hits. I make w level 2 and then leave it alone until last. q scales the best in damage and cd and gets most effect out of pen.
